Get the Iranian F-14A IRIAF in the ‘Persian Tomcat’ event

That’s a country, not a person Mike, just so you know. I’ll let you answer your own question.

And yeah, I see a US made plane, only in service due to Iranian and Soviet support, which shot down other US supplied planes to another country in the 80’s that was carrying out US geopolitical aspirations, and maintains direct opposition to the US, so yes, makes great sense.

Also correct, but also rumored to be arriving. You think it would be appropriate in the US or Israeli trees? LMAO. Come on Death, you’re better than that bro.

Ah yes, and Iranian produced weapon. Also, we both know loadouts aren’t entirely accurate nor reflective of typical combat loads (8xAIM-120 on F-15, looking at you).

IRIAF, do you know what it means? If not, let me help you. ISLAMIC Republic of Iran Air Force. This is not the Shah’s Iran. I understand what you are trying to say, but you are simply incorrect. If Gaijin wants to give the F-14 in Iranian skin to the US, it should be the IIAF F-14, with all domestic (US) weapons (essentially a premium skinned F-14).

IRIAF is post revolution, with stickers, profile pictures, and history of Fighter Pilots who may have started under the IIAF (many defected or were killed post revolution), but continued under the IRIAF. This is like taking PLA historical figures and mentioning what an asset they were to the KMT. Total backwards, and frankly lazy, the more I think on it.

Well, if they did, then isn’t it weird that not a single one of them has been added yet? The Bhishma is nice to have, but wasn’t needed at all and there were plenty of alternatives.

So does than mean a nations isn’t limited to one sub and could have multiple say like 5 ?

India’s situation, be that over time, internally, or external relationships, is not a direct comparison to Iran.

Nice strawmans there again buddy, its a simple fact that u replied to a chain talking about.
This comment is from the same chain.

This is not an answer. Why is soviet equipment, which has nothing to do with Great Britain, and belongs to the independent state of India, placed in a british tree?

But even so. Your logic still makes no sense, tech tree/subtree isnt the same as no representation. Germany/India isnt in the same situation as Iran in terms of TT/ST.
So IRIAF F-14 for USA and German MiG-29G for USSR isnt the same.

Well the benefit on WT is that its always changing so more stuff could be added down the road or even more TT.

It’s not, no. But you’re basing the USSR not getting the F14 on Iran’s ties with the US at the time it was sold to Iran. Yet, the British tree having post-revolution Indian vehicles shows that alliance doesn’t matter.

It was clear from the start that Canada and Australia only had Western equipment in their arsenal. But India had both Western and Eastern equipment. So what was the point of making India a subtree of Britain, but not Canada and Australia? Can we expect in the future that the USSR will receive modern tanks (planes) from Australia and Canada?

I want to ask. Is Czechoslovakia/Slovakia subtree of USSR?

Bruh what the hell ?

Exactly. See how warped this is?

All Gaijin decisions are essentially arbitrary.

Admittedly, I just wanted to dunk on people in a tomcat without the jingoistic US crap, and maybe a unique SARH like the Sedjil.

If the IRIAF F-14 was in the USSR tree instead of the US tree, we’d have just the same amount of ass-hurt.

At this point it’s best to let it go and move on, as annoying as this is.

They should’ve made the UK a subtree of India or pakistan considering all

Like you got 14 or so T-80s you don’t need them

The MAIN weapon ?!
The MAIN weapon that it cannot fire IRL ?
And we’re conveniently going to ignore the AIM-9, the AIM-54, the HAWK derivatives AND the fact that this plane is american to begin with ?

Its pretty clear hes just butthurt. And its even funnier that its about something that was never going to happen.

German mig29 doesn’t use American missiles

Not only that but Iran isn’t a sub which people seems to forgot

India is a subtree, thus considered a single “block” of vehicles grouped together. Considering history/etc, India being a British subtree makes the most sense overall.

This just happens to come along with some more modern eastern designs.

Why not, lmao. Give the USSR a Strv-122, a Leo 2A6, and an M1A1SA at this point. For the sake of balance, the USSR needs tanks with 5 second reload, gen 3 thermals, and a working reverse transmission.
