Get the IAR-93B in the Flight of the Vulture Event!

Well, the T2 has Aim9Ps (which are way better than the R3s) and about 50-60% more speed than the Vultur and the Jag has even better missiles than the T2 and about 40% more speed than the Vultur. Both the Jag and the T2 are at thr same BR as the Vultur. The Jag also gets flares…RIP Vultur. The J35A performance-wise compared to the Vultur is not even close and gets similar missiles. The Milan is not usually available and, from memory, it was fairly underwhelming to use which why they removed it.

I was totally agreeing with you.

The Jaguar GR.1 doesn’t get flares, only chaff and the AIM-9Gs are pretty much on par with the 9Ps with the Gs being a bit faster, but the Ps having slightly better maneuverability.

Forgot about those:

  • The incendiary bombs

But again, maybe they are still working the armament options, as when I first went to test fly with the wiki link, it didn’t had all the premade loadouts that it has right now.

Or at least I hope so, because I really don’t want to go make bug report, I’m too lazy to write them :^/

The Aim9P is based on the Aim9J as far as I remember and has noticeably smaller range than the Aim9G as far as I experienced. In terms of G pull there’s little if anything between them. The Jag Gr1, the T2 and the J35A all have weapon solutions on the Iar93 which the Iar93 cannot respond to but with a prayer. They’re much faster and in some cases have much better weapons but more importantly they also have solutions against the other usual danger planes that you may encounter at 9.7 like the Harriers, early Mig21 and Lightning. All of the planes you mentioned bar the Milan do belong at 9.7 imo.

The J35A only gets AIM-9Bs and guns

What exactly is so dangerous about the Harriers you can encounter at 9.7? The only one I can think of is the FRS.1 (e) with 2x AIM-9Ls, but just like an A-10, AMX, Su-25, etc you can just stay out of their missile range.

That’s more like it

Harriers would have superior missiles compared to the Vultur - Aim9G vs R3S and better acceleration and flares. So a Harrier could target the Vultur from far away, the Vultur will not have flares and the Harrier could accelerate away once is out of missiles.

Anyway, a bit of a moot point with the Vultur seemingly moved down to 9.0 to compete with the F86s now!

Still a bit odd to me that in GRB its 9.3 given its relatively conventional weapons vs everyone swinging IR SAMs, flares and MCLOS/TV guided weapons around it.

Nice change still.

now that its at 9.0 ill happily grind it

At 9.0 Is Better but from my point of view Is still not worth the grind. 35k 7 times are too much

I was always going to grind it but i wasn’t going to play it at 9.7. At 9.0 maybe although there are way better planes to play including the premium G91 which sits at a lower BR and has similar missiles. If the Iar93 would be 8.7 that will improve things.

Why were the points multipliers reduced previously Sim x3 to Sim x2.3

It’s the BR that fit the italian ground line at 9.0 there is only the OF 4O MK2, the rest of the line is 9.3

I think they just wanted to emphasize the ground focus of this vehicle

Setting it at 9.3 seems like the correct decision to me. Even if it were at 9.0, it wouldn’t have had the lineup. Italy basically jumps from 8/8.3 to 9.3 with only one MBT at 9.0, so this is the right choice. It’s a CAS and fit the ground line, and that’s how it should be, at least in my opinion.

I completly agree with you.

I think that even a BR like 8.7 would be still too high for its ordenance, but I have nothing to use with it anyway, It will joing my 9.7 Lineup and be SPAA food.

The additional loadout options and firepower are gonna keep the IAR-93B at 9.0

The Vultur seems to be more in line with the G.91YS anyways tbh

Much happier with it at 9.0 that’s for sure. I havent played the G91YS but i played against it and it seemed quite agile. I’ll need to play it side by side wit h the Iar93. I wanted the Vultur to compete with the early Harriers and Jags rather than 50s planes but I’m happy it was added. I guess I’ll have to wait for the Iar99 Soim to have a good subsonic CAS plane.
