At best thrust to weight will be like Kfir C.7. It was heavier than the normal 16.

100% yes, a one off testbed modified from a Block 30 as a competitor for an Israeli fighter competition but lost out to the F-15E which then became the F-15I.
This and also the A-16 with a built-in 30mm and 7.62mm minigun pods.
This would be great, F-16 with thrust vectoring. It looks to retain some weapons capability carrying some wingtip sidewinders (dummy’s but still).

Another option could be the YF-16. Would be pretty bad but again cool to see.

It’s a unique option.
An event vehicle doesn’t have to be good always.
Ex.
Look at the IRIAF Tomcat. i wasn’t/am not against it, however at the time (and still) it was implemented and without ANY fixes to AIM-54s or TT 14s, it damaged more the TT 14s , than anything else in the game.
With the correct fixes or later, it could have been better as addition not as meta.
Events, should be unique vehicles… not TT tier ones (Block 5).
In general they show in every turn that they don’t care and even without similar games in the market.

The F-16XL had the space for flares to be fitted if it ever went into full production. This is from NASA’s Elegance in Flight
It was also planned to be given the avionics and equipment for the F-16C/D which would be the Block 30/32 kit which included AMRAAM.

Since it was planned to get Block 30/32 equipment if it was to go into production then it should get that equipment. We have seen it before with the Yak-141 getting equipment it never had but would have if it went into service.

Honestly quite incredible (that they’re adding another undertiered F-16)
