We trialed that with the CA-27 WIP blog. Some people still called it “copy paste”.
Its all very well putting it in a blog and explaining it, if its not read or understood in the first place.

This is a heavilly debated vehicle, Walter J. Spielberger (Gepard, The History of German Anti-Aircraft Tanks) says that the protorype was completed together with the Zerstörer 45 and moved to a training ground on Thuringia, that was destroyed by Allied bombers soon after. Hilary L. Doyle (don’t remember the exact book) says that the prototype was completed but never fitted with the twin 37mm, but there is a report of Ostbau-Sagan that a number of turrets were completed, you don’t built turrets for a vehicle that was deemed a failure, unless your name is Ferdinand Porsche. Duško Nešić goes even further and confirms that the prototype was completed and a order for 100 units was placed.
So, whe know that germany built sucessfull Flakpanzers on the Pz. IV hull (Wirbelwind and Ostwind), we know that the twin 37mm was a functional gun (3.7 cm Zwillingflak 43/44), and we know that a number of turrets for the Os. II were built, so it’s very likelly that it was a functonal vehicle that fell into the post war limbo.
With the OI were literally have a document from the Japanese army that basically says they only built ONE HULL and after testing concluded “this thing isn’t worth our time and money”

They literally told the americans “We tried to build this, didn’t work, was scraped”. They even took the Type 4 and Type 5 to Aberdeen…
Sadly this also subject to heavy debate and discussion. In combination with everything else thats simply an unknown about the vehicle, compared to the Ostwind which is just a new turret, the cases are not the same.
Regardless, this is now very much off topic.
btw Smin, since u talked about WIP posts, are we close to new ones?
We plan to have more in the future, when and where they are possible.

I want to test this thing (I hate wheeled vehicles), but I’ll try to get it—if my depression doesn’t get me first, like it did during the F‑14 IRIAF event.
“Real event tanks” that take away from the techtree. Its fomo bs and not at all healthy for the game.
How many is 'plenty'? 10% of the total player base in GRB? Time and time again, you keep adding vehicles to the marathon that only appeal to a very small fraction of players. Do the developers have some sort of hyperfixation on wheeled vehicles? This is getting unbearable to tolerate! There is so much interesting machinery in the world, but instead, you add vehicles to events that play sluggishly and uninterestingly within the meta of our game. It's a disaster.

You scorn the F-16XL for being a copy paste despite the entirely new wing, but use the T30 as a standard of coolness, which itself is a T29 with a 155mm stuck onto it?

Hi Smin, you may have misunderstood Winston’s comment. He was precisely saying why in his view the O-I should not be added while the Ostwind II is ok.
Based on past performance, it’s not worth spending time on the event.
