Just wounder why the event was named “Black Hussar” while his nickname was “The Last Hussar”. Due to his characteristic Hussar uniform + fur cap.
The 350mm Gun SAP Shellpen. 325mm vs 305mm Gun SAP Shellpen. 487mm (Kaiser-class) both at 1000m. How ? Wrong stats ?
Most certainly. Left is a 30.5cm gun. Right the 35cm guns of the Mackensen class. Both in test mounts Just look at it.

Pretty sure USA, Germany, Britain, and Japan are the only nations whom have gotten more than one event vehicle.
But 45k per two days in naval is very difficult for the average player.
I’m a very good player, and I haven’t been able to complete either of the first two, granted I’m playing top tier blue water, because that’s what I wish to play.
And that isn’t producing enough score.
Use max ranked coastal boats with powerful guns / good tankiness (NO blue water spawns). It goes pretty fast. You spawn, press W, gun down what you can. Repeat.
Yeah, but I want to work on high tier blue water.
Costal feels so boring.
They just need to buff blue water score multiplier ig.
Blue water is very slow paced. Cause of huge map sizes especially. It takes ages before the sinkings actually begin. Sinking another capital ship doesn’t even reward you more than sinking another boat, which can be gunned down just seconds after match start. Then the next, and the next? Depends how long you last. But even when you succumb to enemy fire, you simply spawn another boat and join the fight in seconds. Also consider queue time, its considerably faster than with BBs.
Oh i never even thought of that. If thats true and it gives about the same rewards (or mission points) for the event then high tier coastal must be so much better for grinding events. Especially with how long it sometimes takes to sink/explode someone in high tier bluewater naval. And bots stealing kills. And matches ending in 3 minutes because someone just capped 2 points in a coastal.
But how many people have high tier coastal? Even though id like to get into it and play some speedy botes, the mentions of the insane grind it takes with crazy rp costs for modules, im not mentally and emotionally strong enough to do that ^^
But huge map sizes in high tier bluewater? theres barely any maps with 20 km engagement distances? You can literally start shooting at people after or during the first 30° turn to angle and bring guns around (and knowing how, even with horrible dispersion during turns i had multiple oneshots while turning of enemy players in the first salvo, albeit that was with the giant amagi or mutsu guns i think). But i think i get what you mean it is more or less slow paced considering it takes you a long time to get anywhere, unfortunately getting anywhere on most of the maps means into the middle of the maps where you need to sail to like a headless chicken to win, but is also where you inevitably die because there you are just 6 km from the enemy spawn on a lot of maps. Slower paced maybe only because movement and maneuvering is just way more sluggish than in any other gamemode, but for engaging unfortunately on a lot of those (not very good naval maps) it is half the team sitting still behind an island or a semi-safe position trying to stop the enemy team from moving onto the map while losing the match.
Yes I know.
But being forced to play a certain game mode when there is 2 for it is very irritating.
I’m not sure whom at gaijin thought it was a good idea but oh well, I’ll just skip this event, as the ship isn’t all that good, and it’s a pain in the balls to do
Probably depends what BB and how powerful the shells are. Bismark isn’t very good at match start, cause of anemic pen compared to whats needed to sink Iowa etc. at longrange. So it always needs time to get into the match. Probably not so much when you play fotm Soyuz.
Using low BR coastals can be an alternative.
Playing 6.0 BBs is also working for me. I’m a terrible naval player and inexperienced at the mode, but the Prinz Eugen is literally carrying me through the whole event.
I’d say it still works because he was at one point or another a member of both Prussian “Black Hussar” cavalry regiments (1st and 2nd Lieb).
Which is why I find Bluewater to be quite trash compared to coastal. If your BC/BB is known to not be well armoured, or has certain weakspots, you just get focused right away by the whole enemy team and there is nothing you can do about it. So yeah, I grind the events using BM-21 Boat, Pr. 206, sometimes German/IJN coastal. For Bluewater, I’ll jump in the Japanese heavy cruisers and drop some big fat torp walls.
First thing I look for in BB matches is any Japanese cruiser or DD :)
Yeah, which is why I turn and drop a big fat smoke wall at the same time. Then you wait 15 or so minutes for the camping battleships to meet their maker from a Type 93 :)
(Edit: Obviously on super small maps with exposed spawns… it’s less ideal for survival, lol)
hm. i always enjoyed myself some big fat torp walls. considering atm, thx
I turn 90 deg as soon as a torp carrier does the same!
gets less reliable as a tactic if there are 2 or more tho’!
🤣
What do you use for German coastal?
Just the ol’ M-802 mainly, but haven’t touched it for a while.
Latest event star was Pr. 206 / BM-21 boat with Yenot and Bezuprechny there as back-up. Things went well when the enemy actually spawned coastal and didn’t try just bum rush into coastal areas in their frigates and bluewater vessels. Did the 40k in a couple of hours (would have been quicker if queue times were shorter).
