German WW2 SPAAG Flaks 20-50mm and their Ammunition

Interesting, however
RH 8/180 contains the Gerät 341 and names it further down Flak 44. (Miss interpretation on my part)

Also your document just sayes that its better than the Flak 43, but doesnt actually say what the Flak 44 is, beyond the Gerät 342, no data on it itself.
is there more to it?

Previously, they referred to the Gerät 342 as the Flak43 Zwilling, and later changed it to Flak44, just as shown in the photo. However, I didn’t mark that document and forgot where it is; it’s somewhere in RL3.

Could ‘Fledermaus’ be the name for the ‘Flakpanzer 341’? They never gave nicknames to anti-aircraft guns; they usually just called them by their model numbers. And if I recall correctly, the words ‘Flak 341’ and ‘Fledermaus’ appeared in the same report, in close proximity to each other. Furthermore, the turret of the Flakpanzer 341 looks a bit like a bat.

Yes it is the name of the Flakpanzer. Could you also please post its pages? Out of general interest.
Also i cant find it under RL3, in general it has Aircraft stuff, not AA.

But how could the Gerät 342 be the Fla.K. 44 if RH 8/180 which names the Gerät 341 calls it the Fla.K. 44? I’m a touch confused. Because I’m also trying to figure out what the new Gerät 341 that Gaijin added is and what I should be calling it.

I did not find the Flak 44 in RH8/180; I only saw the LM44, which is a specialized anti-aircraft gun mount for the navy, modified from the LM42 and using the Flak 43.

Everyday you learn something new. And now i am more confused.

It is mentioned at the 3 and 3,7 cm Mount.

So to clarify, we have the Flak. 43, the Gerät 341, and the Gerät 342 which was originally called the Flakzwilling 43 and later renamed to the Flak. 44, which was used on both the Ostwind II and the Flakpanzer 341 which was also known as the Fledermaus, correct?

I have also seen the Gerät 341 called the Fla.K. 44-Zwilling or Fla.K.-Zwilling 44, when then makes the Gerät 342 being the Fla.K. 44 weird.

No, Gerät 341 is the engineering code name for the Flak 341 anti-aircraft gun, and it remained as such until the project was halted, just like this picture.

As for Gerät 342, it is the engineering code name for adapting the Flak 43 zwilling to an armored chassis. It primarily refers to the improvements made to the Flak 43 zwilling. After improvements were made to the ammunition feeding mechanism of the Flak 43 and it received approval and urging from the army, they decided to rename it as the Flak.44.

But the Flakpanzer 341’s gun that the Gerät 341 refers to is the Fla.K.-Zwilling 44, right?

No, Fla.K.-Zwilling 44 is Gerät 342

Wait so is the Gerät 342 the Fla.K. 44 or the Fla.K.-Zwilling 44? The document you sent earlier says Fla.K.-Zwilling 44, so I assume that, but I’m just clarifying. Also, does this just mean the Gerät 341 is just the Gerät 341? I’m asking because FirearmsCentral, which is usually very reliable, directly refers to the Gerät 341 as the Fla.K.-Zwilling 44.

Thats the same, Zwilling just means twin. And the Flak 44 is redesigned for effective use in vehicles side by side. As a Flakzwilling.
And no Gerät 341 isnt Flak 44.

Alright, thanks.

Also, when it comes to ammuniton for the 341, what on earth is Lh. 37 and what does it stand for?

Leuchtspurhülse. Tracerpod/shell. There are more drawings of the shell pattern, ill add them later.

Someone in a FB group mentioned, that Fledermaus might be the Ju 88 P-3 Twin BK arrangement. However, until further source, or even his source is shared, i kind of doubt it.
