11.3 would be more reasonable for the F-4F with AIM-9Ls because the AJS 37 has to equip both the gun pod and countermeasures, which costs it two missiles. Unfortunately, it also canโt carry AIM-9Ls on the outer pylons because theyโre too heavy, which is pretty annoying.
can also move it to 10.0 to be analogue to F-4C, no MiG-21 hardcounter but can dogfight better. would be similar to F-1
I donโt agree. The F-4C and F-1 have AIM 9Es and Js too.
arguably agile eagle phantom at 10.0 is more interesting than a 10.7 one with countermeasures but to each their own
but the f4c gets aim7s where as the german f4 doesnโt get anything but poor ir missiles
i would not consider 9J poor
it is when you have no front aspect choice, unlike other f4s that have aim7s to attack from the front
or you can get good and learn when, how, and where to fire AIM-9J
It already has the Agile Eagle upgrade, and lowering it to 10.0 would create a lot of balancing issues. Gaijin knew this, which is why they chose not to do it and instead gave it AIM-9Js.

i think it would be fine at 10.0 if given AIM-9F, decent boom and zoom and energy dogfighting but missile not too powerful, will provide a decently different experience to mirage, F-1, F-4C and F-8E

Itโs honestly disappointing when youโre just trying to improve aircraft that people spent a lot of time grinding, only for them to become far less enjoyable because of the current Fox-2 meta and a simple addition of countermeasures would fix it.
That got me thinking. why would Gaijin add that?
The tech tree F-4F doesnโt have AIM-9Ls because they were intentionally omitted for balance reasons. The F-4F Early appears to be in a similar position with the AIM-9Js, which raises whether it represents an early implementation of the Peace Rhine upgrade that was added long before the tech tree F-4F, but without the AIM-9Ls for the same balancing reasons.
If thatโs the case, then both aircraft should receive AIM-9Ls. The F-4F Early should also receive the rest of the historically accurate Peace Rhine upgrades instead of remaining in this incomplete, half-upgraded state. If thatโs the case, then surely it would make more sense to implement something like this instead.
