This problem has been happening long before the La Royale update.
After around 15-20 minutes into the battle, my game just freeze followed by sounds stuttering, 1-3 fps drop, device hang, and sometimes BSOD, I had to force restart my device OR I keep task manager in the background and kill the aces.exe from it. This problem also makes my device freeze until I killed the process and wait 5-7 minutes.
First thing first, The game didn’t give me a crash report. So, I checked my Event Viewer and got this error after the game crashed.
Session “dc3a3596-71e1-45a3-b2ea-39ad5322fe51” failed to start with the following error: 0xC0000022 Session “dfa2c640-651d-488d-a479-2fd7a7ca6e29” failed to start with the following error: 0xC0000022
This is what I did for trying to fix this problem
Verified game files, through steam and launcher - no fix
Installed the game just from launcher or steam - no fix
Run the game as administrator, and also reinstalled EAC as administrator - no fix
Reinstalled WarThunder many times - no fix
Updated my driver to newest version and rollback to previous driver - no fix
Installed the game in clean windows 11 and windows 10 - no fix
Increased the size of pagefile and readyboot - no fix
Updated windows to latest version - no fix
Activated DirectPlay from Legacy Component in Windows features no fix
Underclocked my device with MSI Afterburner - no fix
After all that effort, I’m sure that the problem is my device (Lenovo V14 G2 ITL w/ Nvidia MX350), so I need help with this specific problem. I really love this game and I don’t want to stop playing War Thunder just because of this problem. Thank you.
i’m also experiencing the same issue and have tried so many different methods just like you and yet I reset my entire PC just to face the same issue again
Is the game installed on your SSD C: Drive, or your HDD D: Drive?
Looking at the dxdiag, I don’t see anything that sticks out, other than you may need to update your intel UHD graphics drivers. Some times that can cause the graphics switching to not work correctly if they are way out of date.
Also, make sure that the game is using the MX350, and not the UHD integrated graphics.
My game is installed on SSD C: Drive. Last time, I also installed it on my HDD. Same issue. I already set my game to use MX350 instead of integrated graphic. Right now, I’m updating my intel driver with intel assistant tool to Version: 31.0.101.4502 Release date: June 21, 2023 because auto-update didn’t check it. Let’s see if it works.
Update.
My game crashed again after 6-8 GRB match, around 2 hours. The game returned to normal (no lag, no freeze) after I returned to the menu. The error I checked from event viewer Session “dc3a3596-71e1-45a3-b2ea-39ad5322fe51” failed to start with the following error: 0xC0000022 still exist.
Hello!
This behaviour and error message just started for me on a system I have been using for this game for several years. No recent changes other than Wn10 updates.
I ran into an issue like this recently and it ended up being a memory instability issue. Do you happen to know if you have XMP enabled? Might be worth it to run a memtest.
