How will this affect Gajins interpretation of the data from the poll? Given the agreement that a large enough proportion of people are misunderstanding (not reading) that led you to change the wording twice, is Gajin going still take the polls final result at face value? By following the poll since it started there was initially a large swing with discussion towards YES (this, I would assume, come from those most invested in the game/community given the speed of voting and the initial discussion on this page. Then following on today the topic has moved from discussions of accuracy of implementation to “voting on a test not implementation”. As such the poll has shifted back to an almost 50/50 spread. This along with the fact that people can’t change their vote. A moderate percentage of those who voted at that time would have been voting under the misinterpreted and parroted narrative of it being a straight change to gameplay people were voting for and not a test. This would skew the overall results based on current narrative rather than, of course, reading the poll. This might all wash out at the end of the poll in a weeks time, just wanted to know what data Gajin takes into account with polls.
Arent you doing exact same thing by giving 0 arguments than because they did it ?
Yes you’re right, we could assume that current system includes ± the quakes and heat but this New one doesnt
Honestly, I don’t even understand why you open votes right after publishing articles. Why not first write the article, and open the voting e.g. 48 hours later? Most people don’t really read whole articles, usually only small parts of them and just vote as soon as possible, without thinking too much about the topic.
We also saw this with the previous vote, which at the beginning was in general approved, and after a day or two, when players actually realised what this vote is about, they changed their minds. But they couldn’t change their vote anymore.
Giving people time to think, read, talk about the changes first and then do the voting (e.g. 48 hours later) seems like a much better idea to me. This would also give you time to clarify any unclear issues regarding the new proposals.
Ppl arent forced to awnser in the minute
I completely agree with this. The polls are done far too quickly with zero think time. Which means people are thinking irrationally instead of rationally.
Sorry took me a while to find this thread
referencing stona’s answer to my thread.
“You cannot force people to read. It’s internet.” As much as i wish we could you are perfectly right.
“The whole purpose of this vote is to check, if players are interested in test. To prepare test we need time and resurces. If players do not want to even hear on the change, there is no reason to prepare test (IMHO).” Yeah you’re right, although for a long time gaijin worked without community approval
“We have access to more info than only “x%” you can see in poll result.” I assumed so, perhaps you’re able to see if a few thousands bots suddenly voted.
If ppl havent readed this article before voting, why would they do it if the poll was 2 days mater ?
If everyone else has APcr and you have solid shot, solid shot would be overpowered because of how much better it is. Performance of shells isn’t an absolute it’s more in relation to the performance of the other shells.
Quickly ?
we get a full week ???
And that’s just asking if gaijin can test, you can’t tell me it takes you 2 working day to decide
If aphe is harder to use, it doesnt mean ap, or any shell, will be easier. One Guy had an Idea which is very smart, ppl want arcade so it’s fun and rb/sim for more realism, so is it possible to add the mechanic for 1 mode but not the other
Because there are more and more information about the proposition everywhere. Not only here on the forum, but on Reddit, on the YouTube, on streams, and even I see players talking about the voting in the game chat.
If you actually scroll up and check this topic, you will find players saying that after hearing more about the proposition, they changed their minds, but can’t change their vote anymore, since they already voted.
Not every person is like me:
Even though I will 99% vote no, I’m still checking other players opinions and things that I might have missed before I vote. But most players already voted, sometimes even without understanding what they vote for.
Also, delaying the voting wouldn’t really hurt you in any way, right? If you have your opinion well thought already, you would just vote in 2 days, when the voting will open. I see no problem here.
What makes you think that those who click “against” didn’t read the article?
Because it doesn’t match your opinion?
We read the article, we are against weakening and testing weakening.
Why? - Because it will take a lot of developer effort, which can be spent not on breaking a good projectile, but on fixing bugs.
As someone who does not play low to mid tier tanks where one of the reasons is how braindead gameplay is thanks to AP shells with HE filler and how OP those shells are, this change looks really interesting for me. It is still not perfect as shrapnel spread should be more dependent on speed of shell after penetration but this is still better than what we have now. It would maybe prepare players better for high tier gameplay where you actually have to know where to aim in order to kill tank in one shot. But seeing current survey results it looks like I will have to stick to high tier gameplay.
Just remember guys, extremely poor shot placement like this is just a skill issue on the Tiger player’s part :P
Perfect example.
I mean a fair few people in this thread have said they wouldn’t mind a change to APHE but don’t trust gaijin to implement it without any issues or bugs, you should probably change “we” to “I” or “some of us”
I’ve mentioned this before but I’m pretty sure there’s already a dedicated bug fixing team
If they didnt take the time to read 1 article they wont read neither the forum’s tons of message nor reddit, and i also see no problem to giving the link already so why change
I got taken like an idiot coz of saying that, sorry but for some Guy, it’s impossible to tell Ur opinion
“There are other things to fix” is a great excuse to not fix things, there will always be “other things” to fix, if the devs wanted to fix something else people will also say “There are other things to fix to fix instead of this.”
