I mean that’s also not really special to china their was the mod who probably still works for the team considering things, that was just denying everything for everyone basically especially American and German tanks to prevent them from receiving changes hell he’s the reason the forums went to private moderators lol.
But overall my stance is that yes china like every nation has things wrong with them, but these people especially the chinese player base who freak out and act like gajin hates them all and has it out for them is insane to me considering the vehicles have been getting fixed and china does have some of the best vehicles in the game br for br. and also the pl-12 isnt really as bad as they cry like yeah its worse but you can definetly still get kills with it.
and those conditions would be ? you dont know do you, also i am psure the the pull stated most of the time is the pull the missile can achieve reliably.
PL-12s were the reason why i did ace top tier china as they were very nimble off the rail. from the third best in agility to being one of the worst for a little range increase is just pure madness. Stopped playing them ever since the update, i would rather play amraam slingers…
Im afraid nothing will happen until they add a premium that can only use the PL-12, just like how they only fixed the AIM-54 when they added the premium f-14. Maybe when they add the J16 and J20 and make a copy paste J11B or J10 premium
If the mere ability to secure a kill were the standard for deeming the PL-12’s performance “decent,” then the vast majority of discussions regarding weapon performance in War Thunder—including those concerning the US and German tanks you mentioned—would become meaningless, simply because one can still achieve kills with them.
Yes, I understand that some Chinese players have overreacted to Gaijin and shown a clear tendency toward a victim mentality. However, my position has always been that while there are certainly players who express themselves emotionally or even irrationally, the root of the problem lies in Gaijin’s attitude and the way it handles player feedback. I believe that if reasonable, constructive communication were actually effective, most players would not resort to emotional outbursts as their first choice.
The problem is that, time and again, we have seen Gaijin delay, brush aside, or even suppress legitimate requests from the player community under various pretexts. At the same time, it has tolerated—or even pushed through—changes that many players consider unreasonable, simply because those changes align with its own vision.
I believe you share the same feelings regarding Gaijin’s unreasonable attitude.
I haven’t posted anything on the forum for the past three days because I was temporarily restricted from posting after being judged as “Too combative” over the KJ8602 discussion on the Chinese forum. I consider myself to be a fairly objective and rational person, but at that moment I genuinely felt like I had reached my limit.
There was no response whatsoever regarding the PL-12 changes. After seeing it nerfed twice and then reverted twice during the dev server, Gaijin still decided to go ahead with another nerf to Chinese aircraft when the update went live. At that point, I honestly lost a great deal of faith in how this game is being managed.
I know that Gaijin’s handling of vehicles from other nations has serious issues as well. I can also imagine that if some of the things that have happened to other nations had instead happened to the Chinese tech tree, the backlash would have been even greater. However, for me personally (as I mentioned in the comment above), I am emotionally more invested in the Chinese vehicles; furthermore, I only have the bandwidth to provide consistent, constructive feedback and raise questions with Gaijin regarding the vehicles of that single nation.
At this point, players blaming each other is probably the worst possible outcome. What we really need is to direct our criticism toward the only party that ultimately decides the performance and balance of the vehicles we all care about: Gaijin.
Yes, I acknowledge that this change is reasonable, so I don’t have much to say about it now. It simply stirred up unpleasant memories:
About two years ago, I asked 1080P on the forum why the Thai VT-4 manual documenting its reload time couldn’t be accepted as a valid source.I was shocked when I was told there was no proof that the VT-4, VT-4A1, and other top-tier Chinese MBTs used the same autoloader.
Yet, as everyone has seen, after a long wait, that manual was finally acknowledged, and both the VT-4A1 and 99A received buffs.Whenever Chinese vehicles are due for an improvement, every piece of evidence is scrutinized to the highest possible standard, and progress is painfully slow.
Now that the decision has been made to implement a nerf, they are applying it across the board without distinguishing whether or not the aircraft is actually equipped with the KJ8602(A) system (This refers to the real-world situation; in the game, all top-tier Chinese aircraft initially shared the same RWR system).
And at first Gaijin even intended to apply the same nerf to the J-15T and J-10C, the newest top-tier aircraft in the Chinese tech tree. I honestly wonder whether Gaijin would have corrected the RWR for those two aircraft on its own if the community hadn’t reacted so strongly.
What also concerns me is that this change was initially omitted from the changelog. Given Gaijin’s wording games and selective disclosure regarding the PL-12 changes, I can’t help but wonder whether this was another attempt to quietly push through a controversial change without drawing too much attention.
Those conditions would be at high altitude, where fighter jets irl usually perform.
In war thunder we often play at super low altitudes, where the higher air density gives the missile more drag and slows it down, which in turn reduces maneuverability.
There, you got the answer.
Given that the speed of sound at 6,000 meters is 316.5 m/s, Mach 4 equals 1,266 m/s. The dynamic pressure is calculated as q = ½ × 0.5389 kg/m³ × (1,266 m/s)² ≈ 431,800 Pa. Converting this to the dynamic pressure at 1,000 meters altitude, using q = ½ × ρ₂ × V₂², yields V₂ ≈ 975.6 m/s = 3,512.16 km/h. At this speed and altitude, the current PL-12A’s maximum load factor is about 18g in WT.
Cro so you dont know, you saying high altitude is not proof at all, as that could be 8km 12km or even 20km, you are literally claiming shit without proof lmao.
Speaking of that would also imply most missiles ingame are overperforming as the can pull much closer to their maximum pull at low alt than the Pl-12 can. Looking at R-77 for example…
No you miss my point the missile is still perfectly capable of getting kills in any given scenario really, I suck at air rb but can usually score at least one kill a game with it.
