Fair Play: November 2024

TK = TK… as has been the policy for over 10 years

Any company will never give exact details to processing.
Exact details enable for easier further datamining, enabling players to exploit mechanics and methods.

All that we do know for the player base is that some did not get a ban when primary occurrence is accidental TK on occasion.

I guess if they published the threshold and conditions (which we also don’t know, btw, so don’t ask), people would adapt to this and TK to be juuuust on the safe side of the red line…

People are like that, sadly.

Which still doesn’t give a good reason why teamkilling hasn’t been replaced with something such as reflected damage. If the argument for teamkilling to be allowed is that it makes you need to check your target, the same can be said for reflected damage. In fact I would argue that reflected damage would give people an even greater incentive to check their targets since instead of the poor sod who is on the receiving end getting punished, the person who made the mistake is the one getting thrown out their vehicle.

Hm idk… there have been times where on a full day we tk ourself at the end of the battle more then 20 times a day… never happened anythink… so…

Also… sometimes tk is a tactical choice, if my plane burns already i call my squadmate to kill me, to reduce the points the enemy gets.

Here is a good reason… reflected damage becomes implimented… I am in a match with you. I cant shoot you down and be a troll because it just comes back to hurt me, so now intentionally fly in front of you to block your shots and force your rounds or missile into me and you are killed because you did it to yourself :)

How is that for a solid reason?

About two or three months ago I had a warning for racism, I’ve never used such language and in fact report it every single time I see it.
If a player starts that bs N in chat I’ll derail it with other letters and so on and report too.

My feeling at the time was of being mass reported for that as I KNOW I don’t do that awful crap. Have I sworn I chat? Sure when I’ve felt it’s ok because the chat has that Jo d of language in it (again that’s on me to choose to do of course but reading the room and all that)
What had happened was I really upset a player in a squad in one match by getting to a base first them giving me crap in chat for it and then telling them to stop moaning and use a faster plane.

So there’s an example for you of malicious reporting for sure imo, and I’m very sure if it was looked at by an actual human then I’d never have got that warning

The tk thing, yeah I copped a 1 day ban because i have team killed, that’s fine.

But saying the reporting doesn’t get abused is not entirely accurate and just frustrated players who’ve perceived they’ve experienced such behaviours against them

I understand you and I understand your doubts as I have the same ones, but as of now I still haven’t got banned so Gaijin system must work to a certain degree.

That’s a pretty poor reason given that what you’re describing is much more difficult to do than simply shooting someone as it is now.

But in Air SB it is impossible to learn how to play without TK. It’s a necessity xdd

Good point, so instead I would just ram you instead, or bump you a bit to annoy you knowing you cant shoot at me without it taking you out anyway. I can play this game all morning.

Ramming is already punished. Also what difference is that to now anyway?

Every other game has got punishment so why not here? Players hands seriously does not have to be held to that extent. For the argument of a haywire missile in air battles - it happens. Apologise and move on, though if you are going to fire a missile past your team mates in close proxy then it is no longer the game at fault. Attitude > Launch angle > Seeker clutter > Target > Fire Solution > Fire. Surely a 0.8 KD player does not have to explain this.

What warning?

I see no punishment on your account except the current TK ban you mentioned.

Depending on how the system reads it. More often than not I see the victim of the ram be “at fault” according to the kill feed. So I will just bump you and annoy you… maybe if in jets I will bore lock you to annoy you with RWR so you are distracted until you crash or are killed by the red team. It isnt that hard to troll, you make it sound like it would be near impossible.

You’re still missing the point. My suggestion punishes the person teamkilling and means that the person on the end of their poor gameplay is not the one who is being punished for it. About half of my deaths in the challenger 2 in sim are from people on my team shooting me. They just get to carry on afterwards without a care in the world but I’m the one who now cannot spawn that vehicle again for that game.

Reflected damage would punish the person who fails to ID their target, not the person on the receiving end.

Yea i can confirm, u can exploit the system and provoke others to attack you.

And again… more often than u think a tk would even help your team, i tell my squadmate to tk me when i know i die anyway to reduce the spawn points of the enemy. At least in grb.

Almost as if this has been said on a TK banwave thread.

I’d rather take that than have some pissed off squad do the same AND report me for TK possibly resulting in a ban.

Shhhhhh… let the Irony simmer for a bit
