Fair Play: November 2024

I haven’t had a missile swap targets since I killed a Mig-23 in February of 2023:

Obviously unintended, only happened once.
Happened uncommonly before then, but that’s it.
Excuses for bad behavior is not how we grow as men.

Again: I do so. Regularly. In a fighter without IFF in a range where most have and rely on IFF, in Sim. Yet have to make an “accidental” with it…

So since gaijin is now handing out temp bans for lesser amounts of teamkilling what are they gonna do about guided weapons causing accidental teamkills? everyone’s had an ARH or IR missile just ignore the enemy and kill a teammate because they flew in front before, what are they gonna do about launching PGMs at standoff and they accidentally LOAL onto a teammate are we now supposed to fly within 6km to guarantee a track lock just so we dont have the chance of getting banned.

And even worse what about sim players theres quite a few vehicles like the german churchill or soviet and french panther that could lead to accidental teamkills and even more so is toptier air sim as IFF is horribly inconsistent with certain radars.

If you’re gonna start banning people for minor teamkill offences can you at least specify the parameters and what would constitute a ban and if this is handled by an actual manually reviewed process or just by an AI or algorithim that bans people with no nuances.

Hey, not to be rude or anything, but could i possibly get an answer to my question?

Dude, I have no idea what BR brackets you play and I’m sure if you stick to guns then you have a much better control over what goes where.

If you’re not playing top tier, you’ll have to take my word that missiles do not always stay on target and get flared of course to then aquire a new target. With a guidence time of over 60s and a flight time well over 70s this means that anything within a rasius of 3-4 km can be aquitwd as target.

If you want to ensure your missile doesn’t hit any teammate, then you can’t fire it at all and that is simply not how the battles in top tier work anymore.

This ban wave was for people from Random Battles, not Squadron Battles.

I got a 14 day ban for TK’ing… seems so extreme, The only time I have ever done it intentionally is against blatantly toxic players. I’ve spent thousands on this game and just to get banned 14 days the VERY FIRST time is insanity. I’ll take a ban but 14 days is straight up extreme.

but what if i tk a squad member(s) in a random battles?

I’m talking about man hours, not literally one guy doing it. The Tiger needed 300 000 man hours to be built for example.

Do better launch parameters.

Use the key “R” to identify the target before shooting them. It works from BR 1 to maximum. This has been a feature in ground simulator for years, use it.

Hes not on about squadron battles hes on about teamkilling a friend in random battles whos in your squad

Yeah i know but a majority of people dont know this

If you are going to punish people for defending themselves in the time of an attempted teamkill, you need to reimburse people for their boosters that were wasted as a result of allowing that teamkill to happen.

Three intentional teamkills I’ve reported in just the last few weeks - no temp ban for any of them >.<

See you in battle in 14 days then.

I TKed yesterday because a friendly decides to go full afterburner in front of my magic 2, and if I get banned for that I’m going to be angry, I can’t control what my team does and yes maybe I should be more cautious but I shouldn’t have to be if team can be more aware

The other player getting banned is our reimbursement.

Do not do it again. What else you want me to say? No one care if you TK:

For jokes, strange “justice” or whatever other reason you put here. TK is TK.

I’m flying Air RB in 16 vs 16 battles, the way Gaijin provides the mode and the weapons with it’s stats.

I do not intend to kill friendlies, but I do have missiles that hit friendlies and cause a teamkill every now and then.

So if the system does not differentiate between intentional and accidental TK, then maybe you deactivate friendly fire in Air RB and just leave it on for SIM.
