Transonic buffetting; also happens in the F-4 family. It’s annoying, but apparently realistic (?)
Whats interesting though, didnt notice once when testing the F1C-200 in test flight and never noticed in an actual match in Sim.
Really? Happens to me every match. In sim I notice that it pitches up pretty strongly at those speeds (I use relative control m&kb)
Just tested again in test flight. In RB. nothing, not even a flicker. in SB, in manual. my nose pitches down slightly at around mach 0.96. With SAS Damping on, there is a slightest twitch at the same speed ,but wouldnt notice it in a normal flight without actively looking for it (which I now will probably notice everytime)
Yeah, with the MiG-21 variants and the J-8 too
I think it does happen cause I’ve had this with Chinese J8B, even with lowest image quality where sonic boom effect are not present, maybe just one of the FPS bugs that suddenly lags u out.
F-8 does the same. F3H Demon as well.
F3H is worse off, because its cruising speed at full AB is exactly that mach 0.97-0.99 range. When I play SB, it just keeps violently shaking the plane.
Also noticed it with other planes too (J-8F), but most of them pass that 0.97-0.99 so fast you never really notice.
Not every bug/issue can be reproduced in test flight. Sometimes everything is ok in test flight but doesn’t work in pvp mode.
J8B does the same, haven’t bought F yet but I normally pass through to supersonic in like 30s of takeoff but now that I pay attention it does happen.
When flying from airfield its not a problem really but I had my shoots missed when shooting ground targets also i observed it in american crusader when I unlocked it today but maybe im just to focused on it cause i see it more often since I made this post
