INS is not reliable enough to compensate for DL channels
With how dumb top tier players are I can bet that you could still do fine w the Meshupar, most people don’t know how to notch and chaff, and they’ll fly in a straight line, giving the missile an easy route
Like I said, the Su-27SM has only 2 DL channels, and I can do great with it, despite it having much much worse bvr weapons. If you couldn’t do decently with the Meshupar then I don’t think you were flying it right
I did in fact do fine because doing semi-decently in top tier is possible, even in the ICE, however this is no reason to leave an aircraft as genuinely cucked as the meshupar in the state it was in
I never said it was fine to leave it gimped like that, I think that was messed up for gaijin to do, and I’m glad it was buffed. But I don’t like how you’re pretending the plane was unusable when it’s still an F-15C at the end of the day
I’m not pretending it was unusable, I am simply trying to get the point across that it’s obnoxious to state that leaving an aircraft like the meshupar (nerfed state) is anywhere near comparable to lacking some thrust and CMs but retaining every other feature that matters for the intended roles, If i flipped the roles here and let’s say the Baz Meshupar came in the state that the MSIP II did, and the US F-15C came with a gimped radar, can you even imagine the fucking uproar from the hordes of US mains, the same people who have spent the last week campaigning for the engine change, I imagine you would be less challant in said situation
I’d imagine the uproar would be as bad as it was for the engines, possibly a bit worse. But the F-15E isn’t missing “some” thrust, it’s missing 25% of it, which is a colossal amount
Also a side note, they would have never added an american F-15C with no tws, it’s common knowledge that it uses that, The Meshupar on the other hand is harder to find information on which is why I assume gaijin added it the way they did. I have no clue why they didn’t just copy paste it from the us tree but it’s gaijin what can you do
Yet could still of been implemented under the ‘historical’ clause, whereas the Baz nerfs occurred due to the dubious ‘research’ of a certain technical moderator, who then refused to elaborate further than his supposed solution, which is that the Israelis kept the same radar from the 70s when all other avionics were modified to 90s-00s standards, without any documentation to reinforce his statement.
It being “historical” is also a very dumb argument considering the F-15E was using the 229s 6 years before Israel even got the F-15I
some were, not all, making it technically historical to keep the old engines but I digress, it simply isn’t on the same scale as the Baz meshupar’s addition
So does it make sense to add the F-15I with the 229 engines that would “outshine” the F-15C, but not give those engines to the F-15E?
I am saying that it’s no where as big of an issue as adding an aircraft without essential radar modes and functionality, it was simply an under-represented problem which was only addressed by 2 CCs and had very limited exposure on the forums, of which many of the posts were closed on mysterious grounds, Trying to get a change to an Israeli aircraft is like fighting an uphill battle whereas you American players have the option to create a billion threads and polls to make your point heard.
It’s incredibly frustrating to have an aircraft be definitively worse than the competition and receive no recognition for it’s shortcomings, this recognition happened extremely fast and loud in the F-15Es case, and prompted gaijin to fix it faster
I do agree that took way too long to fix, and that is mainly because the Israeli playerbase is much smaller. But I do still think that each issue was ridiculous and should’ve never happened in the first place. You can say the Meshupar was more of a problem but I still think that gimping the F-15E while not gimping an export variant of it was worse. I respect your opinion though ofc
Well this isn’t really something you can change, Israel has less players so you can’t make as big of a fuss about issues.
Calm down dude, idk why you’re saying “cope” and stuff when he’s asking a reasonable question.
Shields are up regarding the F-15I atm, especially due to the influx of US mains who have had very negative opinions about it so i was naturally defensive
Who has had negative opinions about it?
Literally all we have been asking for is an equal plane engine wise, nobody has been against Israel getting better stuff as long as they are balanced for the game
