US - F-5N / F-5F (early - F-5E equivalent, and late - F-5N equivalent)
Switzerland - F-5F
Singapore - F-5S / F-5T
Chile - F-5E/F Tiger III
Brazil - F-5EM
Morocco - F-5 TIII
Turkey - F-5/2000
Spain - SF-5A / F-5BM
Thailand - F-5F / F-5THF
Canada - CF-5
Netherlands - NF-5B
South Korea - KF-5E/F
Taiwan - F-5F
(Probably missed some but you get the point there’s loads of them)
Not all would be added but I am hoping we would get some like the F-5N and F’s for the US with the early F being the same as the E but heavier and the N/F late having some better avionics and access to better missiles like the 9L. Earlier F’s could also go to some subtrees we already have like Switzerland, Taiwan, and Thailand.
Would actually be a good gap filler for a good dogfighter in the TT. Currently there’s a gap between the Hunter F.6 (9.7) and Phantom FGR.2 (12.0) where there’s no actual fighter aircraft. There are both SHars and the T.10 between them but they are strike aircraft.
If its at 13.0 it will be decent, but for some reason it is at 13.3 in the dev so its gonna be kinda DOA.
I love modernized F-5s but in the current landscape of high tier and or top tier they’re not going to be very meta primarily bc of the low top speed and low countermeasure count.
The “best” modernized F-5 they could add other than this one would be the Singaporean F-5S assuming it was actually modernized with AMRAAM capability, but i cant find any photos or documents that corroborate this.
I personally cant wait to fly it tho, but i gotta grind out japan first lol
Unlikely, Brazilian vehicles don’t have a nation placement in the Italian tree or a subtree since Italy already has Romania and Hungary and gaijin stated a Tech Tree can only have two subtrees at most. The only Brazilian vehicles there are related to Italy directly. Same goes for Turkey. As it currently stands it’d still be more likely to go to Israel with the Chilean ones.
Can’t say I’m overly bothered about this addition. I’ve no plans for Japan air past the zeros. Currently grinding Russia air and kinda praying they bring out a premium mig29 for Russia…
Technically speaking, there are two Canadian CF-116s (what the RCAF calls the CF-5, and Gaijin will use the RCAF name as seen with the CF-188), possible for WT. Basically, early and late, there is just an upgrade name that could be used. Unless I’m misunderstanding your list, and it’s just different models.
(Yes, this reply is late, but I didn’t look in this thread before.)
