It’s an F-16 with less missiles than F-16ADF. Su-30MK2 is a Flanker with less missiles than Su-27SM. There is a substancial chance of F-16XL being 13.0

I disagree with the F-15C GE being DOA the wole time, but it also was hardly OP on release.

Four AIM-120As as a maximum is no issue.
We need the American mains pilots to underperform so it stays OP at 13.0
that’s something at least, although idk if it gets a pod so that’ll limit their effectiveness
would rather it be 13.7 and get 6 aim120 or even aim9m as, weird it can carry a 90s fox3 but only a 70s fox, that genuinely doesn’t make sense it should at least have aim9m from the 80s.
If it is all failed, six AIM-120As would be a very welcome change.

It is also suppost to have GBU-10 and GBU-12 plus a LANTIRN targeting pod.

This was an interesting time capsule of early speculation. I’m excited about it getting added. It would be nice if the 2 seat variant is eventually added as a TT option.

If it remains at 13.0 after the event is over, then I have no further comments. The fate of its BR rests on player performance.
I think it’s actually insane when you think about it deeper. It will be the only 4th-gen airframe with actual 4th-gen flight performance (yes, the delta wing will dump all its energy, but that’s not the point) AND ARH missiles at 13.0. Right now, Gaijin thinks the F-16XL-1 is on equal terms with the following aircraft:
- Tornado F.3 Late (4th-gen with ARH missiles but still flies like 3th-gen)
- Su-27/J-11
- Su-33
- JA37DI
- MiG-29 series
- F-4F KWS LV
- Sea Harrier FA 2
- AV-8B+
- etc.
It will be a monster in 12.7 and below matches. It further reinforces the narrative of the need for decompression in the 12.X-13.X range.
I’d argue it would be a worse but workable sidegrade of the F-16A ADF if the F-16XL is given a loadout of 2 x AIM-9Ls and 6 x AIM-120As and moved to 13.3.
Eh, if I can fight off all of the above in my F-4J, I can fight off F-16XL. And it will be funny to roflstomp 12.0s as well if I be bothered to do this event myself
