I mean it is a stand off weapon against fixed targets.
Only targets they can kill in GRB is the non-moving SAMs otherwise it will hit nothing.

It’s even more useless in ARB, for howitzer and pillbox you have 20mm and SDB, 4*JSOW won’t destroy a base either way.
Do not play sim very often so no comment on that.
In DCS, I do use them in theatre where there is medium to high SAM threat.
Talking about GRB is me trying my best to justify the existence of JSOW in WT.
Tbh I was a little bit excited for it when I first heard of its addition to game, now it’s just a utter, utter disappointment.
So maybe ask Gaijin why they add this ordnance that sits so awkwardly in all scenarios.

I play plenty of GRB top tier CAP/CAS so I can chime in.
Previous to the Pantsir SM-SV JDAM-ERs were pretty good and you could get some kills by using the long range GPS gliding to take out an AA such as a BUK.
Select the map when one is scouted and you can just release the bomb. Worked most of the time.
Anything else you could try to get a maverick in at them.
Now post Pantsir SM-SV that’s not really an option. Within 10km you have ~ 4-5 seconds to get out of vision as it’s not likely you’ll notch the pantsir. Dropping glide bombs will just get taken out by the large quantity missile capability and guns that it has.
Would the JSOW be useful without the SM-SV around? Yes, glide bombs are still glide bombs.
Is it useful against the SM-SV or while it’s around? Not really

id asume id still be visible even if given you can see goddamn hydras or s5ks on the radars on some of the modern aa we have
Idk if this was talked abt already, but is this F-16 able to use the conformal fuel tanks similar to the Sufa or was that not included with the PoBIT upgrade?
Given how RCS works in war thunder and how slow the munition is it would work almost exactly like a SDB. Most machines wouldn’t see it until a certain range like ~4k or something. Just like how the F117 or commanche works.
Pantsirs wouldn’t have an issue due to how fantastic their forward view tracking radar is.
no, to my knowledge only the F-16Vs, built block 70 airframes, and F-16Es have the hosing in them for the conformal fuel tanks and the PoBIT program only brought existing airframes up to the block 70 standard not a full redo into being block 70s

Per LM it’s an option on the F16 block 50/52 and block 60’s
So it should but gaijin. You’d have to find photos of the US pobits with them.
