Try and compete at top tier without an AESA, It’s miserable competing with AESA jets unless you’re in stuff like F-15E and Su-27SM
And as to the rest of your point, Everybody will get next gen IR at the same time, so once again the Rafale will carry the tree as the only rank 9
The only non-IA alternatives I support are Greek F-16V and the F-15SG for now, as they give Israel another AESA platform with a decent defensive suite
