AFAIK this refers to NATO and any allied or alligned nation, similiar to REDFOR refered to Warsaw pact and its allies and alligned nations.

Mig-29 missing r-73
The Mig-29A is well known to fit the R-60 due to the fact that the version we have in game entered service 4 years before the R-73.
Its missing that weapon because it did not exist when the R-73 did.
so why does the Mirage F1 have the Magic 2 then
Because the magic 2 entered service in 1986 and the F1C that we have sports a number of late service make components like the PhiMat ARAL-1A/B countermeasure pods.
So why can’t the Mig29 have r73 which it got later in service
There are mig 29s that get r73s, the g model and the smt model

As already stated, the Mig-29 you are talking about is directly stated to be an initial production run 9-13 and has all the features of an initial production run 9-13, said run went on for 2 years of production, so even if we considered it to be from the tail end of that run, its still got 2 years before the missile existed.
East Germany, you do know that a unification occurred in 1990 right? The soviets did not just leave with all the gear they gave East Germany, and the Mig-29Gs were some of the things left behind.

My mistake, you are correct, they have the 9-12A, which is an even earlier Mig-29 export make from 1983, dunno what that changes in this situation given only the Mig-29G gets R-73s.
