Is the F-14D going to get the aim 120s like irl?

This post was flagged by the community and is temporarily hidden.

Hopefully it does come with it but not that we know of plus that ai pulls info from anywhere as you can tell it pulled info from a game that is probably sourcing you this link Should the F14D get AMRAAMS? or people who talk about i

Yea before I took the screenshot I made sure to check the sources

Did NOT use AIM-120. It was tested once. The production vehicle never used it.

wasnt it tested with an F-14A and not even on the later models

It never “used it” but it was capable of it, along with the AIM-9X’s due to software updates I think.

you got a source for that? because if you do, then f14D could get them and then there is justification for us to get a TT version too

Yeah well for f14D being capable of using aim120 The aim9x supposedly it can work with it in back ward compatibility or something like iirc

the only mention of the F-14D in this is them saying the raytheon team that worked on the aim9X helped make the F-14D radar among other things

I meant to send this one but I don’t have the link to it no more

Spoiler

They intended it in 95’+ via software update.

By 2001 they’d spent 9.9M on “integration” and this doc somewhat indicates it may have been added in as an “upgrade”

The AIM-54C+ high power used a modified AIM-120 transmitter to communicated with the F-14D. The F-14D also used a radar that had commonality with the APG-70 of the F-15E
(these aren’t confirmation, just tertiary evidence that it may have been capable)

In the end the AMRAAM was never officially cleared for firing fleetwide AFAIK nor were there training plans to teach pilots.

Is it capable: likely (that’s why I said I think)
Was it ever used or authorized fleet wide: No
But its still more than just a “it existed on paper” dream weapon
F-14D AMRAAM integration was technically plausible, formally planned, and actually funded.

Did u guys leak classified documents? because the post got flagged.

Nope nothing that’s been posted here is classified as I have some the links and checked them to make sure they’re not classified

Don’t worry here posts get flagged for various reasons.
I got one deleted because i wondered why do we care that much since they don’t really listen anyway and why i pay them to do their job right (for years premium account and a crapload of premium vehicles … because i like the vehicles and to SUPPORT the company).
They can always delete this post , too , because an unsatisfied customer FOR YEARS complains about the drop of quality in the game he payed.
I didn’t even tell “don’t buy” etc.
And i think i have all the right to complain if i see the quality of the game dropping.
Taking me seriously or not , that’s their pick.
But i can complain , in the game’s forum if anything bothers me and specifically if i am right and say that 14D didn’t even have implemented 54C because it couldn’t cool them and used ONLY 54C ECCM/Sealed.

There is an unfortunate tendency for some people to flag posts that they simply disagree with, there is also the possibility that there is a similar thread somewhere and this one was flagged as a duplicate.

Gajin tested it, and they said for no for it, as it will need to go into a higer br, what they do not want to do as it ( becouse it is a premnium, ) and it will likly not change
