A test bed based on an F-14A is not a service F-14A or F-14D.

Only photo of dual R-77 mount is… Su-35S. Which has more space between engines.

not a Su-27SM but a Su-35S
you can see it having downwards dispensing flares in the tail which is only found on the Su-35S ontop of it having 2 more wing pylons than the Su-27
Su-27SM3 didnt get the dual pylons either, but 2 extra wing pylons which would amount to the same amount of missiles carried as a whole
my theory is that gaijin wanted to turn the Su-27SM into the SM3 but didnt want to bother changing the 3D model for the 2 extra wing pylons, so they just gave it double pylons

the upgraded engine we have on the 27SM were only mounted in 5 - 10 27SM1 as an upgrade, while the 27SM3 had them from the factory

I would like to see D model never gets AMRAAMs and just buff AIM54s irl level.
AIM-54s makes F-14 what it is.

The f14A tested them navy plan was never to give the f14A/B model 120s only f14D and that’s on doc not sure witch ones it could be the ones in top I’ve read a lot of them so I don’t remember witch ones as well as a lot of docs saying it could use 120s just didn’t received them

Ik thats the Block 135 i think so probs from another game entirely since the UI doesnt look like WT’s CDK
I hope that whenever they add the F-14D that it gets more skins than the B. I really liked some of the unlockable skins on the A, and the fact that the B only gets one skin with two on the marketplace will forever annoy me.

Why in god’s name is the F-14 ACM still capped at 9km??? And why is no one talking about this.
Virtually ALL US jets with an ACM mode from 10.0+ have a 19km range.
All the phantoms, the F-5E, even the goddamn F-111F BOMBER with a search radar only has a 19km ACM.
But the F-14 with a state of the art radar when it was introduced is still stuck with a 9km acm at 12.7-13.0 br with no hmd or irccm missiles? What is this BS Gaijin. I understand when this was used as a way to balance aircraft, but the tomcat is waaaaaay past its prime now. It’s time to remove this nonsense.

Iirc the AWG-9 has multiple ACM modes, with the longest range one (PAL) reaching up to like, 28km and the shortest range one only going about 9-10ish km.
But yes, I’d also love longer range ACM.
