Roger. I am spading 14B right now, and honestly, people hating on Penixes a bit too much imo. They perform pretty admirably at 30-35km range. Sure, something like 120A is much better at same range, but there isn’t a lot of 13.0 AMRUM carriers with comparable maneuverability or speed. Finding targets with AWG 9 can sometimes be a bit on an ass, but still very workable even in uptiers.

im not 100% sure the C model has better tracking but is heavier and has a lower hit rate for me so i just use the A model

yes the F14S AIM-54 is effective at its tier but only cause people who play that br now are the ones who rocketed in premiums to get there no one whos actually half decent can dodge it with relative ease AIM-54 is the equivalent of a fox-3 sparrow

That’s fair for 95% of the Fox-3s in game, the only real outliers are MICA and, sometimes, Fakour-90
Using the Phoenix missile effectively is 99% luck and 1% skill.

Playing F-14B after the sale feels like bullying. I haven’t seen uptiers in 2 days and there is always people that catch Penix with their face or notch too late trying to get a Tomcat with ER.

I cant wait for the changes on the phoenix C seeker, it says the modular linear frequency and monopulse, i belive because of that tracks better targets in beam aspect, in this way the missile are all aspect and resistant to chaff

The LFM part makes it not as bad at ranging compared to native HPRF.
Since it can use PD signal gaijin will just give it the same PD seeker every other fox 3 uses since they are lazy
With how the devs hate the phoenix they’ll probably somehow manage to give it a copypasta AIM-120 seeker except much worse in all areas for gameplay. (Wider notch gate, seeker going pitbull earlier for extra warning, massive IOG drift, etc)
