The F-22 does what suits the wording, the Eurofighter doesn’t.
You proved that Eurofighter states it can supercruise, but by stretching the use of the term. That is not honest marketing.
Someone should really make an F-22 history and performance thread

Maybe, but seeing as there is a Foxbat thread (not in-game yet), and F-22 is talked about a good bit, it would be nice to have a thread specifically for it
There are already F-22 threads and they are filled with nonsense and conjecture

It can supercruise, with 8 missiles infact, as confirmed by EADS, this improves range too, giving a range of 250nm, which can only be achieved subsonic when taking 3 external fuel tanks ontop of the above config.

It has improved range over earlier fighters but is incapable of pulling the throttle back to cruise while supersonic and still maintaining the speed above mach.
If it was marketed as supercruise and not just enhanced range and speed over previous fighters in dry thrust, then it was dishonest marketing.
Now you are simply lying, it very much can supercruise, as EADS data shows, and even labels as supercruise, with the given loadout, and even compares to to afterburning.

I’m not sure you are the one reading, you said it can’t fly supersonic when throttling back.
So the F-14 has supercruise now, putting it on par with the Typhoon
Vietnam war plane vs best plane multiple nations combined could put out in the 2000’s
Slower, worse range, worse against its’ peers comparably, and only iconic in specific Euro countries
The F-14D is the same era as the F-22 Raptor.

sure, but the F-14 airframe literally served in Vietnam. when i say its a museum piece, im not exagerrating.
The first F-14s were delivered in 1973, and by April 1975, when the evacuation of Saigon took place, F-14s were participating in the final days Operation Frequent Wind. They flew combat air patrols.
F-15: First flew on July 27, 1972, delivered 2 years later
F-16: First flight was on February 2, 1974
Of the original 3 teen series fighters, it’s only about 1 year older than them at the most. In the same breath, I could say the F-15 and F-16 are museum pieces.

F-14 first flew 1970 though, you are comparing them with first flight. and you can say that about early F-15 and F-16 but tbf they are still actively in use, albeit in later versions (and idk if youve heard, but the USAF retired its last air superiority F-15 quite recently)
