F-14 Tomcat: History, Performance & Discussion

@Smin1080p_WT
Sorry for pinging but, is there any news about this issues?
https://community.gaijin.net/issues/p/warthunder/i/buIYXizvc3bA

I reported this issue 8 month ago when Gaijin added JDAMs in the game. However, We still don’t have Sparrowhawk HUDs or still not remove JDAMs. When JDAM was about to be implemented on the F-4EJ Kai it didn’t take this long for JDAM to be removed, why do we still have JDAM on the regular F-14B?

This is because all of the current camouflage on the F-14B is all pre-OFP 317 with the exception of the marketplace camouflage, and if they implement the Sparrowhawk HUD, it will require a variant and name change, as well as updated camouflage. Also, changing aircraft variants in the games are basically never happen, except some exception like USAF F-4Es.

Can you at least clarify whether the Dev team will remodel F-14Bs or simply remove JDAMs?

Hello

Currently there is no new news I’m afraid. Cockpit remodels can be scheduled and queued into our existing content plans, however if a vehicle has a full cockpit module already, this can be a lower priority issue than other matters. The report currently remains open, so it has not been closed. Meaning it’s unlikely the bombs will be removed.

Thanks for the clarification.

Hopefully we will get our Sparrowhawk HUD as soon as possible because modern HUDs actually help for playing Air SB and can be 1 step of implementing F-14Ds, which has almost same HUDs.

Still waiting on F-14D

Does anyone know channel loss on F14B i heard F15 is around 6%

Close to 1% if I had to guess.

you talking in game or IRL

because in game F15 has ~20-25% channel loss

I did calculations the Channel loss is 25.3% 3,470 KGF is loss in game right now i dont think Channel loss is that high since F14 engine inlet is a straight shot anyone have stats for this

Should be written in NAVAIR 01-F14AAP-1.1

is that for B model ?

AAP means F-14A+ so, yes

F14AAA: F-14A
F14AAP: F-14A+/F-14B
F14AAD: F-14D

thanks
