Main F-111 models:
Spoiler
- F-111A: the 111A, though it’s missing AIM-9Es and Js (though Js might not be desirable for balancing) and M117R retarded bombs
- F-111B: prototype naval interceptors with the same radar as the F-14A and AIM-54As, and no other armament except maybe a Vulcan. Probably like 11.7-12.0 and an event because of its prototype status and unusual armament.
- F-111C: The F-111C was originally extremely similar to the F-111A, with TF30-P-3 enignes, AIM-9Bs, and unguided ordinance. It’d be 10.7.
- F-111C AUP: In the 80s the Avionics Update Programme (AUP) was initiated, bringing the 111C up to F standard with TF30-P-108s, carriage of AIM-9Ms, Pave Tack, and various guided weapons (this is the model we have in-game). With the missing AIM-9Ms and AGM-142s, I see this as around 12.7 in both ARB and GRB, same for the F with its missing 9Ms and AGM-130s
- F-111D: The F-111D was a failed attempt to make a multirole F-111, having a powerful MTI radar and more powerful TF30-P-9 engines. A2G ordinance was basically the same as the 111A, but A2A ordinance was much improved. In service, the 111D carried AIM-9Es, Js, J-1s (same as AIM-9P), and AIM-9P-4s. It was also designed to carry the YAIM-7G, a missile identical to the AIM-7F except for its radar band (adding 7Gs would be the main reason for a non-TT placement), for around 11.3-11.7.
- F-111E: The F-111E was initially very similar to the A, but carried AIM-9Js, J-1s, P-4s, and Ls. Some were refitted in the 90s with TF30-P-109s after Desert Storm (make it a modification?), and they were capable of carrying Pave Tack though probably never fitted as the 111Fs were better for this role. Depending on configuration the E could be anywhere 11.0-11.7.
- F-111F: 111F, except it should have 240CMs, and AIM-9Ms and AGM-130s
- F-111G: AKA FB-111A, nuclear bomber not fit for the game except as a ground nuke vehicle maybe
- F-111K: The F-111K was a pair of unfinished protypes of a British copy of the 111D. Armament is completely hypothetical except for the Vulcan pod and some type of bomb load. So BR is very variable. Event likely because it was unfinished.
Main Su-24 models:
Spoiler
- Su-24: The Su-24 was the first model of the Su-24 (as standard for Soviet aircraft the first model of the family has no suffix, which can get confusing). It was produced in 3 main batches, with the Soviets making no distinction between the 3 but NATO doing so. The Su-24 Fencer-As were pre-production models not used for active service. The Fencer-Bs were the initial model, with unguided weapons and R-55 AAMs (comparable to the R530E), SPO-10 RWR and only 24CMs. The Su-24 Fencer-C was the definitive early Su-24, still with unguided ordinance but now with up to 96CMs, SPO-15 RWR, MAW, and R-60s. Both the B and C Fencers could have a place in game but between the two I obviously prefer the C, for around 10.7-11.0.
- Su-24M: Su-24M except it is missing FLIR and shouldn’t have Kh-29TEs (Ts instead) and KAB-500S
- Su-24MK: The Su-24MK is an export model of the Su-24M, largely identical except for the following:
-no nuclear capability
-different IFF
-wing-mounted CMs instead of fuselage-mounted
It was used by a number of nations in the Middle East and Africa, I’d choose Algeria as they also used the Su-24M2K - Su-24M2: upgraded model of the Su-24M with new avionics, full-colour displays and new weapons, including GPS-guided bombs which the M shouldn’t have, Kh-29Es, possibly Kh-38s, and R-73s (essentially the actual counterpart to the 111F and AUP when those vehicles are corrected, somewhere around 12.7-13.0, lower in ARB but higher in GRB compared to the 111s)
- Su-24M2K: Algerian Su-24MKs upgraded to M2 standard, premium counterpart to M2
So in conclusion, and in contrast to copy-paste, thered be:
USA:
- 10.7 TT
- ~11.3 TT
- ~12.7 TT
- ~11.7 event
- ~11.7 squadron
Britian:
- 10.7 TT
- ~12.7 TT
- ~11.0 event
(plus Tornadoes)
USSR:
- ~10.3 TT/premium? Probably foldered with C if TT
- ~11.0 TT
- ~11.3 TT
- ~12.7 TT
- ~ 11.3 premium
- ~ 12.7 premium
Each vehicle has its own place on the tree, typically .7 or more from the nearest vehicle, or at least being premium/event while the other vehicle of similar BR is TT.
