Thats not what i asked. Lets try again.
Which is the better defensive missile:
A.) AIM-9L
B.) AIM-9M
The key word is defensive, meaning the target already knows you are there. But even without that qualifier you really want to say its just as easy see nothing as a giant smoke plume?
You can continue beating around the bush and looking like a dumbass if you want, or you can answer the question.
Sea Harrier FA2 is 11.7 in ground with 4x AMRAAM
The thing is, we’re not even getting an early and late model except for the US. There is a single F-111C and single Su-24.
Additionally, these skipped models would not be copy-paste. You’re looking at around a full 1.0 BR or more between the two- it’d be like calling the Leopard 2A7 a copy-paste of the 2A4, or the F-4J a copy-paste of the F-4C.
As for them being event vehicles or premiums, that’s something I’d very vocally oppose. Premium/event/squadron vehicles ought to be for export vehicles like the Su-24MK, prototypes like the F-111K, or more unusual/nonstandard vehicles like the F-111D. NOT the main production models simply because Gaijin can’t be bothered to add them.
And Gaijin has a terrible track record for adding vehicles after they’re no longer the top model! Look at the F-4D, MiG-21M, MiG-17F, or F-4F ICE LA. Sure, sometimes these aircraft are added, like the Lim-5P. But that was 7 years late, and I don’t want to have to wait until 2031 for a simple Su-24!
Not the picture, the text under it.
ive flown teh A and F on the dev server, the F-111F actually has enough engine power to keep its speed high enough to turn very well, unlike the A where it stalls after a 180, the engine difference alone is a night and day difference,
highly, they are the largest upgrade compared to the 111A, and it really does show in its performance
The f-111 C was the only one made for Australian air force, The F-111 D had just an early digital cockpit and better engines, outside that its the standard f-111A. It was plagued with issues and for the most part, but could fire SAHR missiles. It really was a hanger queen as it sat for almost all of its life due to technical issues. To me that would be a good event vehicle, not really woth a TT. The prototype K again would be cool to see it as an event or BP vehicle, since it was a prototype. The E variant was only a minimal change again not worth having the E then the F.
I dont know enough about the su to talk about that, but they have to weigh the cost of putting into the game with what they will get out of it. If they spend time and money to and every single variant and no one plays them except to get to the newer one than thats not a good return on investment.
the D could be a solid US sqyad vehicle but there are other jets id like in that role
As much to do with Britain as it does Russia: Never used in service.
Main F-111 models:
Main Su-24 models:
So in conclusion, and in contrast to copy-paste, thered be:
USA:
Britian:
(plus Tornadoes)
USSR:
Each vehicle has its own place on the tree, typically .7 or more from the nearest vehicle, or at least being premium/event while the other vehicle of similar BR is TT.
honestly if this process was repeated with every aircraft US and USSR trees would be so jam packed itd require at least a 3x rp and sl cost reduction
It should still be able to retain a Vulcan in the bomb bay since it’s still based on the original F-111 series (which also now has the ability to carry 2 Aim-54As in there for this variant). The main thing is that although it can carry Aim-9Gs and Aim-54As, but there’s no real proof it can carry any Aim-7s (unless there’s proof the F-111 can mount a pylon capable of carrying the sparrow, since the radar is capable of firing it).
Perhaps there’s some helpful information pertaining to the YAim-7G to look into if there’s any documentation with a F-111 and mounting sparrow compatible rails on the aircraft. Do you have anything that could help with that since iirc you even started a topic about it.m?
they should have fb111 as event with agm 69 that 1 tap enemy bases
Me omw to team kill my entire team with a nuclear missile 5 seconds after taking off
nah but AI FB-111 with nuke in an EC mission or some kind of event would go hard
Its 2 or 3 vehicles/folders per tree, for 2 of the most iconic and significant strike jets of all time. If you want to streamline the tech tree why not remove all but two P-51s, Spitfires, or Yak-9s?
for US i think 3 f111, and uk is fine with the C sicne K was stated by smin as not gonna be added.same for ussr and su24, 3 variants should suffice
noice
How reverse? Germany also didn’t use the AIM-9J, and the F-4F is also missing it’s main missile (AIM-9L)
The F-4F has access to AIM-9Js, because a Flight Manual lists them even though Germany never bought any.
The F-111C will have the AIM-9Ls, not the -9M it (probably should have anyway) even though it is only listed in the Flight manual (even then as CATM-9L), and Australia never purchased any AIM-9Ls, only -9Ms.
