F-111C & F: When Pigs Fly!

Ahhh gotcha, my memory must have been messed up a bit. I seemed to have thought I remembered the python winning, don’t know how lol.

The ASRAAM actually won by a large margin but I think the US strong armed them into buying the AIM-9X instead

Here’s some of the Aussie graphs on it

when they got the Super hornet they were strong armed to using AIM-9X on it

Glad to see the F-111F will be much better defensively than the F-111A, maybe we can actually leave on the MAWS countermeasures deployment now without running out of countermeasures for one missile detection haha. Hopefully they’re all large caliber as well, since they’ll definitely be needed to protect those massive and hot engines.

They could have put India in the same spot as Canada and Australia or they could have turned India into a tree of its own.

There was no reason to tie them to Britain and both the Bhishma and Bison should have gone to the USSR tree. Their intention with the Bhishma was to give Britain some diversity at top tier, which could have been achieved with a Leopard or an Abrams, but apparently Australias and Canadas ties to Britain are too weak for that.

And even if a Leopard or Abrams never was on the table, they still obviously had to put work into making the Bhishma, so why didn’t they go for the Arjun instead?

I mean the US did test the asraam themselves so maybe we can see US jets with them?

Or get Australia hornet

Oh ok yeah makes sense

Altitude dependent. F-111 specialized in low altitude speed for the nuclear NOE dash to Moscow

Speaking of that, fb-111 would be soooooooo nice as a US nuke bomber at top tier

(FB-111 was the one they would put nukes on)

THey need to replace the Jagaur with the Tornado as well at top tier for that.

Agreed

Yep I’ve seen those, I exactly where you got those from. I even have one of them saved in my photos for when I explain the Python 4 to some people haha.

Its going to be in the top bracket against all the 13.7 fighters in Ground SB. Having 9Ms as a defensive measure there is worthwhile.

Nope, the ALE-40 currently only has the Standard sized, basic 1x1" M206 (30 units per dispenser) flare mounted in the MJU-11 Chaff / Flare Magazine.

It should also have access to the MJU-12 and MJU-17 Magazines (the modern ALE-40 uses a modular buckets design) which would respectively add alternate 1x2" MJU-7 (15 units per dispenser) and 2x2" MJU-10 (6 units per dispenser) Flares.

Further access to later Flare compositions which are more effective against IRCCM seekers and Kinetic (uses off gasses to retain some momentum, resisting spatial IRCCM) or Covert (No Visual report during burn so doesn’t give obvious clues if pre-flaring) variants, for the various sizes.

It’s only going to go against 13.7 if it gets the Aim-9Ms (and a BR of 12.7 ofc, maybe they’ll slap it al 12.3 who knows…). It’s currently 11.7 on the dev server, meaning 12.7 is the max it can face.

Irrelevant. 9Ms would ruin it for air RB, Russians dream of the F-111F having 9Ms so they can easily kill them.
That and AMRAAMs are expensive to spawn in ground RB.
9Ms would also make it 12.x for ground RB as well…

Womp womp then, time to go cry ig

Lol yeah the blog was weirdly concerned with Indian flankers and R-73s

Did they give the 111F 240cm in the dev server update?
