Ask them to list their source, thats actual BS
The snail works in mysterious ways (making things up). My guess is that they just assume they are compatible cause they are of the same missile family, but who knows.
Gaijin should need to do that for every denied bug report to prove it wrong in some way IMO.
Spoiler
On a side note the whole “technical compatibility” thing they do is quite harmful to the game, especially since they aren’t consistent with it.
Here is a new bug report.
[DEV] F-102A Missing AIM-4A/B/C/D Falcon Missiles
The most likely scenarios for this bug report are either: “Forwarded/Submitted as a suggestion” or “Not a bug. These AIM-4 Falcons are inferior, and the F-102A is to use the AIM-4G/-4F going forward.”
it’s good to get it out there still, thank you for the quick work friend
i just wish bug mods weren’t anonymous and could not close comments
There is a good reason for that
A certain Trickzzster incident showed us that
aaaand ohhhh marked as not a bug!!
Sadly.
yep, that’s exactly what they were meant to be used against IRL

Leaving aside that 4 of those missiles wouldn’t fit through the side doors, if this argument were true for the game we would be able to get a F-106 with a combination of 8 aim-26b or xaim-4H missiles between weapon bays and outboard pylons.
But on a nicer note, i found a video proving that the F-102A could and would fly with a combat load of 2 aim-26’b and 4 other aim-4 falcons in the 1974 william tell gunnery trials, and fire them individually:
I still maintain that the missile bays should be grouped up side to side instead of front to back with the same type of missiles, but it’s clear that the FCS isn’t limited to trading 3 aim-4’s for a single aim-26.
Hope they can properly converge, would be at least usable.
I am still a bit sad that no non-contact rocket options seem to be getting explored as that would be the more unique way to make the aircraft relevant.
The wsem “reads” to the FCS as if it were a normal falcon missile, while recording the missile sensor data internally. if you can equip them in the missile rails while firing, you would be able to fire the real deal.
Is F-102A getting any gun pods like Suu-11 7.62mm or Suu-16 20mm Vulcan Which hasn’t been confirmed for use on the aircraft, but was allegedly possible ?
it’s likely to receive the SUU-11, as it’s been seen in 2 different forms already on dev
lowk the bug reporting manager rlly needs to be fired like why do they always add stuff or remove stuff when they have no source whatsoever
@Smin1080p_WT @Stona_WT F-102 needs justice. The current missiles are ahistorical as they were not even made for the F–102, nor is there any historical materials supporting this. Tech mods claim it is “technically compatible,” but they do not even have evidence to support this. So unless there is a source supporting the AIM-4F/G are backwards compatible it is not historical. Furthermore, I understand that dev blogs are not the final say in how a vehicle will be on the live server, but the dev blog seemed to strongly suggest it will not come with gunpods. This would be fine if it received the earlier falcons, but without them it nearly useless. Also, its kind of funny this is being called the “bear hunter” when the tu-95 can just tank the falcons like a flying battleship because the bomber changes are still overtuned versus missiles. I really hate to say it but it feels like the f-102 is just being added so you can say you added all the century series, and so you hit a unique vehicle quota. But as it stands now it does not feel unique with its current loadout. Please give the F-102 justice, more people are excited for this and care then you probably imagine.
