didn’t realise id done that, my Grammarly screws with formatting on the forum ill fix that. my b
I refer to your statement
isn’t what I said. i said “SARCs are all functionally identical and are a worse option than the AEC or daimler
eland/AML 90 is obsolete because of the fox and scimitar, olifant is just a centurion with a slightly better engine (the mk2s composite is worthless) and rooikat is a worse centauro and we have vickers mk11 which is overall better, Ratel is the only unique thing and they are the worst platform in the game”
Not that they stopped UK additions coming sooner
I’m not understanding what you are saying here. damn?
leads to leopards being in your words shoehorned into another tree,
same leopard problem as with benelux
yeah, but switzerland literaly is sitting there as a possiblity , which would help at least the tiniest bit and would cover one of germanys weakest areas post col war era
even austria-hungary minor stuff aint realy possible because italy was claimed to be all “minor axis nations”
Im just sick of nearly every tree having a Leopard 2 versions, its like how gaijin only adds T80U to any tree it can. the whole thing that brings most of us wt WT was the vehicle diversity across trees, every tree being the same at top tier ruins that.
there isn’t really anything from Germany from 1945 until 1965 with leo 1 true. Do think that allied and soviet occupying tanks should be used to fill those gaps, things like the IS3 and T55 would be good for that, the leopard 1 prototypes and Spähpanzer 1C would greatly help too
With how much I hate the mk2 olifant because of how shite its turret is armour wise putting it on an even bigger vehicle would just be awful to play. It would help fill the tree but man that thing would be a literal wasted space in the tree.
Well if we’re gonna bring up vague political concepts that bear no relation to how close countries are today since they either only exist on paper or straight up ceased to be a thing, I introduce you to the German Confederation and the HRE.
Out of all the tech trees you really think Germany needs more vehicles?
Out of the top 3, Germany, USA and Russia they don’t need any more sub trees, they are easily big enough with a huge selection of vehicles compared to other smaller trees.
And when they start adding experimental vehicles, which they definitely will at some point, Germany could easily get another 100+ vehicles.
So no. Absolutely not. Should Austria and swiss vehicles be added? Absolutely. Just not in any of the major tech trees because then you would have to split Germany onto both teams, all of the time.
Britain doesn’t need sub trees either because, by that logic, if all British vehicles were to be added, it would be more than enough to pad out the tree
Possibility wise and development wise germany is closer to UK and France then germany is to US. USSR and modern China.
If UK and France can get sub trees so can germany. Here is only your Bias speaking.
You might notice how germany can fit multiple times into US, RUSSIA and China, this comes together with way more economy and those countries putting way more into development and money. Multiple plane programms etc.
Germanys air is pretty dead from now on and can specialy need help post cold war where Switzerland specialy could help quite well.
If Germany can get more prototype heavy armored MBTs like PSO-VT, 2A6EX, 2A7+(I know all those three have controversy with armor, but anyway), the only subtree Germany will ever need is Switzerland for F/A-18.
But if not, Switzerland and Austria both would not be sub tree that gives enough vehicle for Germany. Austria is just Germany mk.2 in both air and ground, Switzerland can give something different but not enough to fill MBT gap between Germany and Sweden. all thos Pz 87 with additional armor has same weakpoint of gunner sight and hull.
In those case, Spain would be rather good subtree for Germany.
On ground, they have Leopard 2E, especially Tortuga with .50 cal, and they have upgrade plan for them. Air could be also strengthened with F/A-18s.
Finally, they have decent naval which could fill gap of German bluewater fleet’s scarce number of cruisers.
While Switzerland does contribute something, I don’t see Austria really contributing anything to the German tree, the contribution would have to be in the upper air forces, on the ground, Germany is quite good on its own, although the Pz.68 and Leo 140 are welcome, other sub-tree could be Spain or Czechoslovakia, they would make a better contribution in the top tier air forces 12+ and helicopters.
