Current event is 17500 score BEFORE modifiers per day.
Even before modifiers thats 18 games where you need to score 1000 score.
In reality its much less games due to modifiers.

It’s like people forget prop tier exists too. If you have a basic understanding of energy fighting, just go and play any of the meta props like the Yak-3U, Lf MkIX, P51H, etc. You can just get like 1 kill then go for ground targets and you’re golden.
Events are generally very frustrating to play as everyone gets far more… lets say competitive, as they try to grind them out.
There is also a sale on and a lot of players like to take advantage of a lot of less experienced players in premiums (and with low crew skills) to farm easy kills.
But a few pointers that hopefully will be useful to you:
Radar missiles you want to turn as close to 90deg to them as you can manage (notching) and drop a bunch of chaff and change your altitude or get down low under 60m (multi-pathing) as it will interfere with the missiles (preferably both notch, chaff and dive for the deck).
For IR missiles, make sure you turn your afterburner off when you flare, I see lots of people spamming flares while at full afterburner
AIM-7s need a bit of distance to get speed and become maneuverable, if you fire them from too close they wont be able to track (I like to use them between 10 to 20km in a head on), they also wont track players under 60m or flying at 90 degrees to you as mentioned earlier, so try to avoid shooting at them, or use the AIM-9L IR missiles as they wont get effected by notching or multi-pathing and need far less time to start tracking properly (I find 800m to 2km is a good range area to fire them for them, but that depends on what the other guy is doing, you will pick that up with experience)
TWS is more for Active radar missiles, but it dose have the advantage of showing the direction that everybody is flying in, if you want to BVR between 16 to 20km, you can use it to pick the best targets for your sparrows, pick someone that’s flying straight at you, lock him and watch what he dose, if he dives low or turns to the side he knows what he is doing and will likely dodge the missile, but if he just keeps flying straight he likely either not paying attention or doesn’t really know what he is doing and may be an easy kill.
Once you are close you are better off using ACM as you are. If you are not trying to BVR, its a good idea to turn your radar off so you don’t ping enemies RWRs and give your position away.
You mean like this?:
base bombing right at the start at these BRs isn’t very reliable, if you want to survive you will need to fly out to the side to avoid being hit, but there are usually enough base rushers that some will survive to destroy the bases forcing you to loiter until they respawn, which often doesn’t happen due to how fast matches end.
Well… that ended you being far longer then I intended… Hopefully at least some of it is useful to you.
I just wish it always wasn’t on a time period when I’m busy…
Idk I did the first 2 stars in like 1.5 hours each pretty easily.
u’d better have bought GE just to pay for tasks
Event is kind of doable with sim, but it still takes an absurdly long time even if you’re in a good match and doing well.
Look at these names:

Now look at the scoreboard.
Notice the overlap?
We’ve played for some 80 minutes.
Greek Air force (flying spitfire Lf Mk IX), over 80 minutes of active & constant gameplay getting top of leaderboard fighting Ki-84 that could actually bite back… got 8443 points. Converted, that’s 8443 x 2.3 x 0.9 = 17477.01
Myself, (flying F4U-4) coming in ~top 4 overall, top 3, for 80 minutes of gameplay got 5856. Meaning: 12121.92 after multipliers.
I’d need to do this kind of performance three times (that’s 240 minutes or 4 hours on a weekday). Greek Airforce would need to do it twice - 160 hours, little under hours.
I think optimal way to farm event is probably using F8U-2 in air RB and spamming matches.
This sounds a lot like a player that hasn’t played top tier before and now got thrown into A LOT of new mechanics all at the same time and doesn’t understand them or how to play them.
You’re also forgetting to take into account the multipliers for the tasks. If you’re playing RB and the F/A-18C you’re getting your match score multiplied by 1.4 for playing RB and 1.2 for playing rank 8 so if you get 1000 score in a match then you get 10001.41.2=1680 towards the event task.
I highly recommend watching some guides on youtube on how radars, notching, chaff, etc all work to at least get a basic understanding of how to play at top tier.
its not 48 hours, its 48 hours and 30 minutes (nerd glasses put on for me)
well, if you’re new to top tier, watch these videos, very helpful, incredibly useful in my rookie days
well, i have to damit, you are the bigger nerd. GG
Bro… you really need some skill before grinding it… I not talking about gaming skill but calculation skill, I know top tier have the highest rate multiplier but at the same time you are way easier to death without getting anything. What I can tell you is the most effiecient way to grind is rank 5 attacker, especially F-84G. The reason is simple, the catch of the grind is not getting highest point as you can every match but is getting a fixible point in a short match time. That mean you won’t waste tons of time in the rubbish section (take off, flying to the battlefied etc.) so the best choice you got is the attacker, bcos they got airspawn therefore you don’t need to wait those rubbish section.
It’s possible you’re missing some key binds that you need to set up to effectively use your radar like swapping Target in TWS and resetting the gimbal on the radar
It’s not the matter of keybinds. After the premium Hornet their highest rank vehicle is Me 410. They just thrown themselves to high/top tier without any experience and are now suffering for it.
Have fun dying a 100 different ways learning things you skipped over the hard way OP. I guess.
There is that but you could also watch tutorials to help kind of a combination of both issues where gets to the point of OP doesn’t know what they don’t know
Anyway here is the modified table for score needed in air realistic battles per rank after modifiers if someone wants:

I just so happened to have rank V french F-84G in need of spading (needed to get 7.7 CAS for Somua lineup) so Ive run first half of todays star with it. Its not BR I usually play (only other jet I somehow played properly in this BR range was the british Attacker FB 1) and I cant aim with guns if my life depends on it. Heres how it went:

Average time per battle: 00:12:54
Average raw score per battle: 1078,25
For the second half of task, I brought out the Su-33, which i also recently unlocked and wanted to continue spading it:

Average time per battle: 00:07:00
Average raw score per battle: 1559,43
Small sample size, I know, but I just wanted to demonstrate that score requirement is perfectly doable. Even with F84G, im sure i could cut the time in half if i played it as ground striker instead of fighter, but im not exactly fan of groundpounding in early cold war jets.
Further, if we take statsharks global average score per game for the last month, ie. circa 680 points per game, it would take approximately 30 to 40 games to grind out the whole task, depending on rank. Assuming person plays rank VIII and that the average time per battle remains the same, ie. 7 minutes, thats just 3 hours 30 minutes of gameplay for the whole task.
As themadseventeen already pointed out, you just threw yourself to BRs where you have no bussiness being, experience wise. You cant just jump from WW2 props to Hornets and expect to get instantly good.
Trick to events isnt to play as high BR as possible, but to play as high BR as possible where you can score consitently high scores.
So for you that would mean to play the german P-47D you have.
heh. newbies.
Get yourself a suitable plane and it`ll be easy. 35 isnt 70 after all, as it was for the event to get F14.
Some of us just don’t have the time because of irl stuff like exams. If it was just X amount of points over the entire event like the coupon upgrades, it would be way better imo.
I do work, visit university and prepare Magister’s degree work. Still manage to get 3hrs of playtime throughout 48 hr given for the golden medal.
Tho thats a valid point. I agree with it
Kudos to you for that, I am able to grind out events using either my Japanese or Israeli air lineup but I generally only do so on holiday terms (3 respawns in the Sakeen does wonders).
