Eurofighter Typhoon (UK versions) - Technical data and discussion

It is generally good practice to exceed design requirements. The majority of vehicles predicted to meet their requirements during development exceed some if not all of them. I’m almost willing to guarantee somewhere exists a source saying those initial requirements were at least in part exceeded too.

It literally doesnt tho, the devs said so themselves that it performs “close to” ESR-D specs.

Oh that ones super easy to answer.

If you actually bothered to read the ESR-D document, the EFA with its 82kN engines was within no more than 1.66 deg/s of the ESR-D specs, usually underperforming by less than 1deg/s, and actually already exceeded all the acceleration requirements quite substantially. Tack on a ~9% thrust increase and its not a stretch to assume it exceeded the reqs.

Sooooooo you admit you were lying about it overperforming then?

so what im hearing is that you think the plane is underperforming by a mystery amount and it should be buffed to a set of mystery values which will somehow make it more realistic? i asked if you had the docs for the aircraft with the ej200 engines and you didnt say, we do not know how much the ej200 effected performance it is reasonable to assume that it only met the requirements.

Nope, maybe stop lying for a sec and read stuff properly. All I said was that you are wrong in stating that it is overperforming (the gaijin devs themselves state its underperforming), and that its possible its overperforming by a significant amount. I never said it should be buffed to a random figure above the minimum stated requirement.

They arent going to be only meeting requirements if they were already just about meeting requirements when they had less thrust, stop being dumb.

when in this thread did i say it was over performing? please enlighten me

Personally if they would fix the radar. So I don’t feel like I’m fighting the radar half the time I would be fairly content with the aircraft.

Who needs a radar anyway? Be like a true man. 1v1 dogfight, guns only. Show them you have the biggest, umm, drop tanks on the field!

Words to live by. But I am one of the weaklings that use the radar lock to get the gun leads on the CCIP.

While the documents aren’t classified (has been confirmed), it has been said more than enough times that the user should provide additional info for classification, especially if confidential/secret is written onto them

Don’t worry young padawan, we have all been there. Eurofighter is a ferocious beast, not many can control it from the get go. But fear not, once you spend enough time with it, everyone, be it Russians with their thrust vectoring, or Americans with their AMRAAM spamming, will learn to fear you, and will hide their tails on the sheer sound of your engines rumbling!

Fear not, ammunition it has enough to kill the enemy team whole trice! And even if, by some unfortunate accident, you run out of ammo, fret not. Do not let the enemy see the fear in your eyes, keep your vision sharp and lead them astray. Stall them out untill they fall out the sky, intimidate them enough they j-out, while shaking in their boots!
Unlike your foes lives, possibilities are endless for you.
Show them that you are at the top of the chain!

Of course it is, but practice you must. Learn you mount every inch, feel every move of the stick. And then, throw yourself into the enemy lines! Proceed through the trial of fire! Let them know what the hell looks like!
Then, when remnants of their forces return to their airfield, and they tell the stories of your slaughters, nothing shall stand in your way!

(I should really go to sleep)

You’re right, I must’ve misread, sorry.

from what i heard from a guy that was lucky enough of sitting in a EF simulator, they only restrict the weapon modes so you cant get anything about the radar and stuff like that.

Good luck proving this

Sooooo when are we all pitching in to send @Gunjob or @Flame2512 to a defense expo as “War Thunder press” to get as much official answers, pictures and videos as the company allows?

War Thunder press at a defense expo: “K so heres the pitch guys. WE’RE sick and tired of digging through obscure documents and trying to piece together fragmented info to try to convince the hardheads that work for The Snail that the EFT is underperforming, YOU guys are sick and tired of dealing with classified leaks and answering our constant emails, also probs arent too happy they made the CAPTOR-M look like a joke and the EFT seem like a relatively slow jet compared to competitors. So how about this, you provide us with as much info as you legally can at this defense expo, we take it to gaijin, no more risks of leaks, and no more bad representation of your jet, sounds good?”

I highly doubt they will let 'em in as “War Thunder Press”. XD
