Eurofighter Typhoon (UK versions) - Technical data and discussion

i’m looking forward to all the fixes for the eurofighter and also for the gripen radar as well.

as long they are not implented, i still fly in custom matches and faceroll mig-23m’s with the eurofighter.

As far as I am aware the sources simply state that supercruise can achieve mach 1.5 and the context of that figure is with a standard A2A fit which I think is 2+4.

Supercruise should simply be considered “the ability to reach and or maintain super-sonic speeds without reheat”

the exact defintition ultimately doesnt matter. In-game, with a totally clean airframe, the Typhoon just about manages to reach mach 1.4.

Honestly, at the moment, like with most things cockpit/sim related, It will come if/when the devs can be bothered. At the moment I consider the priority

  1. Fixing/Finishing the radar
  2. loadout improvements and adjustments (I.e Brimstone 2s)
  3. Flight model improvements and refinement (like the supercruise speed)
  4. DASS improvements (BOL overhaul, RWR, PD MAWS, etc)
  5. MFDs and other cockpit releated fixes

Super sonic is 1.1 so it simply being considered the ability to reach and maintain super sonic speed without reheat is present in game.

It states a supercruise speed of Mach 1.5.

You mentioned almost the entire plane.

Sounds about right. It came to the British TT, therefore it has plenty of outstanding issues

I still reckon its dry thrust is underperforming by around 0.1-0.15 mach

There is a missive difference in thrust or drag when there is a difference of .4-.5 mach. Think of it this way when speed is doubled drag and lift quadruple. So if EFT super cruise is 1.1 in game but 1.5 IRL that’s a lot of either missing thrust or too much modeled drag they both can lead to an aircraft with major loss of performance in terms of SEP.

where UV-Filter for HUD? xD

I’d bundle that with the MFDS. Hang on let me fix that list

maybe just call it it Cockpit xD

I would have written “excessive brightness of the HMD” in the same paragraph. I don’t think it should be like that.

Not that I really want to stoke this debate anymore but you are the only person i have encountered on the internet with such an open hatred for european 4.5 gens so far, you are the only person claiming that supercruise requires a specific number of parameters besides being able to sustain mach flight past the sound barrier (standard definition and literally the synopsis of the word ‘super’ ‘cruise’ itself), and finally you are the only person consistently derailing threads about european fighter jets with made up facts, misinformative quotes, blatantly false articles and uncreditable sources.

Please, and I say this for the sake of order in these threads, just go back to threads about aircraft you enjoy, not despise so we don’t have to forsake any more time trying to debunk blatant falsehoods.

Have a good rest of your day/evening.

I had nothing to do with the derailment of the German thread in two occasions, recently it was a discussion about tanks from the very same people heckling me in this thread. I was not part of that discussion at all.

Also, you claim all I do is hate on the Eurofighter and the only thing I’ve done so far is advocate for bug reports that result in an overall net buff to the airframe including increasing the supercruise speed.

Beyond that, I point out flaws in all countries aircraft and the only reason for the recent discussion on eurocanards is the fact that they are coincidentally the recent additions to the game as well.

Cheers!

You can turn down the brightness of the HMD

where?

Keybind option for it or via the multi-function menu

(give me 1 sec to look exactly where in game)

what is it called?

found it, its on page 2 of the MF menu but only HMD
