Isn’t 11,220 what it was on the 19th? Not what they reduced it with today’s patch?
Then I’m not up-to-date anymore so if anyone has the current value I would be grateful :)
I couldn’t tell you I’m not home to check.
Yeah, you can do that, but it’s not the most organic thing to be doing in combat and would be so much easier if they allowed the ability to have both relative control and manual control at the same time.
A keybind to switch between them, so simple yet still not here.
Yeah, that would work just as well. Too many options are just buried in the settings instead of a keybind toggle.
guessing this can’t be used to suggest AMRAAM on outer pylon?
Spoiler
Meteors mounted in the usual fuselage spots as well as the outer wing pylon suggests that it could have the same capibility for AMRAAM
I was trying to find photos of the next pylon in with an AAM mounted to see if it could use the BOL as well, as the pylon looks very similar to the one that has the integral BOL
That image looks like a really poor photoshop:
- Meteor intakes are in the wrong place
- Brimstone launcher mounted behind the landing gear
- Brimstone launcher covering the flare dispenser
- Missiles barely resemble Brimstone
- Whole aircraft kind of looks like CGI
Theres so much missing… not only for sim but air RB.
For example, i dont get why we dont have PD, Pulse, TWS bind yet.
By pressing PD again, you would switch between MPRF/HPRF and preferably ILV one day.
By pressing TWS again, same deal.
Then we miss binds for bars and azimuth… why cant they simply give us full range of scan with TWS being only one limited to certain presets due to refresh rate, imho PESA and AESA both should have TWS in full azimuth at multiple bars minimum.
The radar controls are extremely limited.
AI slop?
Brimstone sitting behind the main gear.
Nose gear looks like it’s 1/2 scale.
Meteors are also hilariously tiny
The longer I look the worse it gets
Edit:
Definitely generated AI slop.
So in only my second game I encounter this… A* for effort for this guy, he was dead either way
But its fair to say… the flight model is infact very, very silly
Do you think we might convince the snail to add SPEAR 3 - Wikipedia to be the fire and forget weapon in its ir mode only???
first of all do you have a source confirmining it is an IR seeker implemented besides wikipedia?
only thing i am finding right now points to multisolution which could just be liike brimstone
Besides that you might wanna look into HOSBO, actual electro optical guided glide bomb
Honestly i just seached “cool air to ground weapons”
yea i noticed some oddities too but compared to the more obvious AI ones i saw this one slipped under my radar, that’s quite embarrassing mb. I did notice those missiles were mounted on the countermeasure dispensers but figured it might be a testbed of some sort (looked like the missiles wouldn’t be blocked when the gear was raised)
pretty sure the SPEAR just has a Brimstone seeker, so mmW and SAL
SPEAR (capability 3 at least) should have a Tri-Mode-Seeker like the SDB-II (GBU-53) and use SAL, mmW RF and IR. Sources on this however are scarce and most can’t even be called “Sources”.
Additionally the warhead weight isn’t public so it can’t even be implemented in game and a range of 140 km (as it’s effectively a mini-cruise-missile with a turbojet engine) is extreme for in-game purposes.
It’s confusing, but SPEAR is the UK’s current precision weapon pronouncement programme, “Select Precision Effects At Range”. The SPEAR 3 Missile is a programme to fulfil the 3rd requirement in the SPEAR programme, which is broken into 5 parts,
- Paveway IV upgrades
- Brimstone upgrades
- SPEAR 3 Missile
- StormShadow upgrades
- FC/ASW, an in progress surface/airlaunched antishipping missile to replace stormshadow (in the antishipping role), Harpoon, & Exocet.
in conclusion they really need to rename SPEAR 3 (the missile)
The entire gimmick of spear 3 is that it’s supposed to be Brimstone parts mixed with MBDA’s Smart glider bomb parts, so as of right now it’s unlikely that it has a IR seaker, maybe later models. Although it’s all just hearsay as nothing has been released.
