Eurofighter Typhoon (UK versions) - Technical data and discussion

Even the current Gripen FM is still the strongest dogfighter in the game. It also has better instantaneous turn rate and energy retention than the Rafale that is on dev server.

If I recall they were concerned about who could actually sustain 16 deg/s with the tightest turn radius at 9G for this. I suppose they figure this would prevent the use of HOBS missiles of the time or allow for a faster shot without doing the suislide that is the Cobra.

It’s one of the most advanced 4.5 gen aircraft after all :-).

That’s a bit sad

Yeah but that’s not really best sustained turn rate. Also take off weight is generic, MiG-35 definitely doesn’t have a thrust to weight so low with a normal loadout.

I have a feeling that they are only willing to share information if the plane is under performing. They won’t actually share anything if it shows the plane is over performing.

Basically…the fanboys want it to be as busted as possible. See all of the threads on the Gripen and how it’s fans defended the initial flight model in spite of mountains of evidence to the contrary.

who is saying “is op pls nerf”

any minimal quotation of the status quo of the god typhoon is taken as a pls nerf

i am also waiting for the update to drop to research it

but is so funny the echo chamber of the blind folks here, please continue 😂

Okay, so what of this then; you tell me why it was optimized with a 0.4 bypass ratio

I’m gonna test fly this all day and night

I have yet to see anyone actually provide a primary source that the Typhoon is over-performing.

All i’ve seen is people accusing us of “burying data” and people claiming that the FM is wrong without providing any said proof.

If the FM is ACTUALLY overperforming with verified primary sources. Then fine, but all im seeing at the moment is people reeling from not being able to fight the Typhoon currently. We always knew it was going to be a meta aircraft

This post was flagged by the community and is temporarily hidden.

What i can promise you, it is that most if not all sources were handed over to the devs. They will tweak the model according to them.

I mean they can do that but in the end keeping aircraft busted only ends up ruining the game, because tables flip. We all know that if EFT will dominate harder than what the F-15s did some other nation (right now probably russia) that was on the back foot will get an even more insanely busted plane and the cycle goes on. Last time top tier was somewhat balanced is nearly 2 years ago.

I remember that, hopefully it won’t repeat

They dont understand that the people maybe just dont want to share primary sources publicaly which they paid access for.
I trust Gunjob, flame etc to make the right reports since they have all the stuff gathered we need

Yep, I thought Gunjob would have done that already. So we’ll have to wait and see, But I do feel like people are expecting it to have an FM of a Tornado, which is really funny

Yep, whilst we get accused of “burying sources” truth is plenty gets reported and result in nerfs.

Yea, people here somehow think you are forced to share them. Everyone can ask, and you can share them, but you do not need to. As long as you use them in the reports, and they are accepted nothing else matters.

EJ200 characteristics were selected to optimize performance at 1.8 mach and also at 0.9 mach it was not optimized for supercruise consumption even if it was still capable of doing so imo. @Flame2512

Also, notably; they are saying 10.0 T/W is given for 0.75 mach at sea level conditions here?
Engine mass is alleged 2,180 pounds. They estimate 10:1 thrust to weight under those conditions it would imply thrust is ~21,800 lb-f or 9,888kgf? What do you think?

No one wants to force anyone to share stuff, At least me and few people i’ve seen here only asked

An interesting thing happens when capturing a ground target. Look at the angles. It looks like a 300% bug. Although it seems to me that it looks like a blank for a common datalink. Because if I launch an amraam at a course of 0, then turn 180, try to capture a ground target, then I will be able to see my missiles flying on the datalink behind me

P.S. It works the same way with air-to-air lock
