Yeah… But I still hold out hope.
What credible source? I have not seen any being posted?
Are there SEP or rate charts/ acceleration diagrams for it?
You will have to ask Gunjob or Flame for that. But if they decide to share it is up to them.
I have no idea
The original gripen FM was overperforming. Literally everyone knew this. However, it came close to reality outside of energy retention after the initial nerfs (I think the second one had most figures relatively accurate to what should be expected outside of energy retention). Instead of fixing this, they continuously took a hatchet to the entire fm, now it performs worse than even that document of questionable veracity.
But this is also an EFT thread, and if folk want to keep their negative positions on Gripen, that’s their choice. Doesn’t change the figures are fucked.
India’s MRCA competition
5k feet, sustained turn rate at 9G for all except F-18 which had the 7.5G limit
I don’t remember any gripen nerfs past 2024 spring, and it was matched correctly at 700kph at that point and was still overperforming at low speed.
Still yeah sorry for going off topic
They allegedly cant make stuff unstable iirc, which has a bunch of other knock on effects when you have control surfaces optimized to work with an unstable aircraft
Because a lot of the nerfs just don’t get documented. And it really fucking sucks, because it makes me look like I’m going mental. Moving on now, just giving you the info on why you might not remember changes.
he has a habit of doing things like that to things he doesnt like
This isn’t peak rate thought, this is essentially who can sustain 9G at the slowest speed. Delta canards generally tend to gain efficiency at lower speeds.
Does that include American, Russian, German, Swedish, French, and Chinese jets & ordnance? What do I actually like then if that is the case?
Idk about charts, but i have seen exact numbers for the EFT with the lower thrust engines and even those numbers were crazy
Its other ppls papers tho, and they want to keep them for bug reports, so i cant share yet.
Even the current Gripen FM is still the strongest dogfighter in the game. It also has better instantaneous turn rate and energy retention than the Rafale that is on dev server.
If I recall they were concerned about who could actually sustain 16 deg/s with the tightest turn radius at 9G for this. I suppose they figure this would prevent the use of HOBS missiles of the time or allow for a faster shot without doing the suislide that is the Cobra.
It’s one of the most advanced 4.5 gen aircraft after all :-).
That’s a bit sad
Yeah but that’s not really best sustained turn rate. Also take off weight is generic, MiG-35 definitely doesn’t have a thrust to weight so low with a normal loadout.
I have a feeling that they are only willing to share information if the plane is under performing. They won’t actually share anything if it shows the plane is over performing.
Basically…the fanboys want it to be as busted as possible. See all of the threads on the Gripen and how it’s fans defended the initial flight model in spite of mountains of evidence to the contrary.
who is saying “is op pls nerf”
any minimal quotation of the status quo of the god typhoon is taken as a pls nerf
i am also waiting for the update to drop to research it
but is so funny the echo chamber of the blind folks here, please continue 😂
