Pretty sure gaijins argument against the EFT getting BVRAAM’s on the inner wing pylons is not “it cant, show us a pic to prove it can” but “the FCS can only take 6 BVRAAM and a max of 10 AAM’s”
Which is a hell of a lot harder to argue against without classified sources or pictures of a Typhoon doing so. Pretty sure its been proven already that the pylon has the correct rail and the correct wiring to do so, and clearance aint an issue either considering the other weapons that can be carried on that station, so the only defense gaijins got is the one stated above.
Btw, a friend brought up an interesting point; does the in-game Brimstone even have enough maneuvrability to be fired 40° OBS? Cuz if not, that may need a buff
Gotta wait until tranche 4 or 5 to get any real changes for the Eurofighter.
Tranche 4 for radar and hope the Tranche 5 comes standard with AMK and heavier possible equipment load.
But those are years away
The whole tranche 5 standards arent specified yet or final, as of right now its not ordered by anyone.
It was just shown of on a 1:1 model in germany for possible tranche 5, where germany ordered tranche 5 afterwards as well
if im correct, I dont think the seekers changed between 1, 2 or 3 (beyond of course gaining the SAL and the INS upgrades in the 3)
So, this buff might not do a great amount on the 1, but is going to be exceptionally useful on the 2 which has a lot more energy and was noted as having great HOBS ability iirc
damaged left engine has the correct afterburner nozzle expansion, while the normal right engine is the default and it doesnt expand that much irl. funny how that works. jank coding
They have IOG which has a certain amount of inaccuracy/drift. Its meant for getting the missile into the general area before then either using the MMW seeker to find the appropriate target or the laser. The latter being what we have.
The Brimstone 3 appears to get upgrades to its Inertial navigation, which could translate into essentially 0 drift IOG in game, that would result in something roughly akin to GPS guidance, but that isnt the version we currently have modeled.
Brimstone doesnr have GPS, its a rough IOG.
Strictly speaken as it works right now it shloundt be able to work. We are simulating the mmw /Man in the Loop LOAL a bit with it , but cant work on oure GPS
