No.
Yes
Why are we even going this far to explain it, the manufacturer SAFRAN them selves said that the IR aren’t used to attack tanks and moving targets, that’s why there is a laser version for this exact purpose
They even put a vehicle shape on the second image to make things clearer
remove ir hammers haha
worse penguin missles yeah
so you mean the source that states:
“INFRA-RED FOR PERCISON STRIKES ON FACILITIES”
@Gunjob Are you aware if the Devs allready had the idea of making the Brimstone similar to an LJDAM, were you can change its mode?
Like:
SAL Mode as currently with laser stays, but you could also take an shot via IOG and the Brimstone would see the target at range (insert: Balanced range here) and lock it(If the Target didnt moved to much)?
Maybe this would be an Idea of having an Kinda Fire and forget Brimstone without making it stronger than the KH-38MT/Hammer
IR AASMs are preferred for highly cluttered environments and precision within a metre.
dosent say anything about tanks tho
but i think it is pretty good to hit within 1 meter of a house
you mean SAL

yeah imagine not having FnF ammunitions that can hit a tank
i dont think you should abreviate Brimstone
Now better? ))))
yes
Also why not?
Because BS is literally the short name for it.
Source: look in the EF Cockpit))))
To make things more on topic, the described IIR targeting on AASM works the exact same way the IIR seeker works on Storm Shadow/SCALP
So anti-tank Storm Shadows when?
yeah i feel like we should make a bug-report on that, to preserve histrical accuracy of the weaponry the rafale carries
Thats you stating that.
Every official source stated otherwise now.
That explains why u believed your IR is better then mmw as well.
You completly had the capabilities of the IR wrong in thw first place xD
The operator swapping to look at hammer and hammer looking at a high density IR environment through their screen
