You did not process what I wrote to you if you even read it.
No one said AIM-120 had worse energy potential on long range. But at the the ranges that matter most even the normal R-77 is superior with R-77-1 being clearly superior. Not to mention MICA.
That F-15 is nearly 55 Km away from you btw.
SU-30 does not need to be fast it is cruising patiently with it’s potent payload.
SU-27 especially SM is quite a bit faster and quite a bit more nimble. The Thrust Vectoring makes a difference though.
You do not have to go below 1000 km/h to notch in SU-30.
You also do not have to fly as high or fast as the average single minded F-15E player to dominate.
Test flight mach 1.5 Su-33 pulls similar G turns faster.
We were talking medium to short range the R-77-1 is scary as it can do crazy things like the MICA and R-73. 120 is best at long range and at the same time if you die to a 120 from 50-60km that is also very much a skill issue.
Saying that though you can shoot off 4 R-77-1
To the Typhoons 120.
No one is contesting the 120 is the best BVR missile. But within 15km the realistic engagement window the R-77-1 and MICA cook it.
I think it is reasonable to fly Rafale just below contrail altitude slighty to the side.
That is efficient with most aircraft but it is somewhat of a surprise to see how effective Rafale can be in that scenario with it’s supposedly short ranged missiles.
It’s acceleration, top speed and maneuverability really are a boon.
If there is a enemy high and fast in a dangerous position to you you can simply defend and or pressure him yourself with a MICA.
At those speeds and altitudes it has a surprising range if the enemy fails to defend.
If the enemy does defend on average they will not take you seriously enough which allows you to close in further.
Either it is a joust which you will likely win if you are neither caught of guard by a desperate barrage nor cornered by aircraft from a different angle or you gain position to snipe from the side with MICA or come in full circle to rain down borderline undefeatabke MICAS from above.
It’s people like this that makes me proud of EFA and confident that it’s underperforming in game. If the best thing they can find to nerf it is airshow footage we’re in good hands. We just got to do the same back unto them and make everything Russian realistic.
Thats just completely untrue. FM performance is incredibly important for early game by impacting how aggressive you can be. The EF and Rafale can launch missiles at higher speeds and launch them closer to targets safely because they can easily defend by going cold.
and attacking like that is just as dependent on the radar being able to adequately find let alone guide the missile.
Id rather take something with a weaker FM but decent radar and loadout over the Typhoon currently. Heck. I do, I have more fun in ARB in the F3 Late than I do in the Typhoon.
