That’s because they are already not quite capable of preventing deep stall due to the high negative static margin. With AMK it is worse as the negative static margin is even higher, but a higher peak or sustained AoA is possible due to better sideslip control.
I actually wonder if Typhoons can employ some kind of automatic ground mapping…
Like a radar unit lighting you up can be seen via HMD. It’s position being calculated according to feedback from DASS + GMTI + automated TGP slaving of some sort.
This is theoretically posible due to sensor fusion and on board computer.
