More likely they’re working on AI overhaul so that they can make the current maps playable with maximum filler AI.

Oh they’re working on new maps, for Aces of Flop, which nobody will play because they have a horrendous track record for both taking care of sim players, and even more so VR players…

Yeah i think that’s going to change soon, there’s a report in for the f-18 engines and apparently instead of losing thrust due to channel loses they actually gain more thrust. At least for the early versions, idk about the 14.0 one.

The fact sim map layouts havent been introduced into air RB is WILD to me. Just about everything ppl complain about at top tier gets fixed by that (granted sim has its own issues, but its infinitely better than air RB)

This is mostly cuz theres no reason to go anywhere but where other players are. Most if not the entire map gets used in sim because there are players on each team working the objectives, which spawn at different locations across the map.

Oh god, I forgot about that. Yeah that will be 100% why we’ve been totally abandoned by the devs. The 2 or 3 interns that were previously responsible for ASB are now working on that.

I hope once they finish adding Functional SAM sites and High Value Targets like Oil Rigs and Refineries they’ll consider adding some type of RB EC or a mode like the Heli EC one, or hell even just improve Sim with actual objectives (with higher rewards).

That being said, Aces of thunder from what I can see actually looks like theyre just copy pasting WT air, but are making it for VR only, which if its the case, idk why theyre even bothering wasting their time and money, cuz id never consider moving over to a copy of the game i already play, but where i need to restart my grind, and where i cant use my HOTAS cuz i have to use the silly VR hand controls for everything.

So dont expect any VR fixes in WT for a good long while :D

with any luck, they launch aces of thunder in the near future, the game will flop catastrophically, cuz gaijins done their absolute best at mistreating and neglecting the VR community they had/have, and then they’ll scuttle the project and send all the workers back to WT to finally work on fixing the massive VR issues in-game.

The HUD in the EFT is still unusable in VR for anyone who was wondering.

I think its a massive problem with gaijins “new game” formula. They take WT, modify it a bit with some ideas ppl have suggested to them over the year on how the game could be made better, call it a new game, and ask ppl to restart their grind. Nobody wants to do that, cuz we’re all barely tolerating playing WT in the first place with the predatory economy model and the horrid support for any new features that could actually improve gameplay, and so the game crashes and burns and thats all she wrote.

Enlisted for example has just been treading water, and at most has had around 7500 players.

But god knows. The neglect for SB has always been pretty bad. But in recent years. Im also convicned that they dont even remember SB exists 99% of the time

Also the most recent TWS fix works, contacts don’t meld together anymore, so you can actually keep track of someone even if he dares launch a missile at you and doesn’t send your radar into a state of schizophrenia.

That would only impact 0kph acceleration, not speed nor its fighting performance.

The Strasbourg that was just added has a BR of 1.0 in SB (its a 6.7 battleship). Not like theres naval SB, but its still hilarious they forgot to even give it anything but what I presume to be the default BR if not set xD

Shouldn’t the whole power curve be toned down?
The report says that the thrust needs to be reduced and apply channel loses as well, does that only affect acceleration and not SEP too?

Haha, its a bit like how the Tornado F3 came with an 11.7 BR and then the Tornado ADV added the following update (100% identical) was 11.3. Definetly no bias there.

No, the at-speed thrust is 100% correct for both dry and wet.

and i might be reading too much into this but “scanFinished”… i hope that doesnt mean finnish scaning the whole scan area

cuz if it does then that explains why it hasn’t improved TWS at all

So there’s a new bug with the radar, sometimes when locking and trying to fire a missile at someone it just doesn’t fire but the timer for impact is present.
This already happened to me twice, in GRB earlier today and it cost me a trade, and just now in a ARB match, i get “🗣️Lock🗣️Lock🗣️”, red tone, press launch, the timer for impact appears on my remaining missiles but no missile gets launched.
