That makes more sense, can you post the source for that though? it doesnt seem to line up with the wiki which states “brakes off to supersonic: <30 seconds”
- Brakes off to 35,000 ft / Mach 1.5: <2.5 minutes
- Brakes off to lift off: <8 seconds
- At low level, 200 kts to Mach 1.0 in 30 seconds

Spoiler
(laugh)
≈30s is the actual figure
he said “maybe like 5 seconds” so he’s likely overexaggerating it on purpose
Now that will be a deadly loadout
yeah we already speculated this with the german thread, that instead of fuel tanks more missles could be equipped
´this doesnt quite clarify if its possible to carry 6 + 4 + 3FT.
but i personally dont think thats up for debate when all of the pylons have the necessary wiring and the manufacturer of the mounting point literally says that they have the necessary mechanical interface and electrical connections to mount a missile rail lol
I suspect the EF will have a high fuel burn, so perhaps that central 1500 litre tank may still be useful for getting into battle and then being dropped to maximise performance.
I think if they were to deny it’s existence they would be utterly deluded, however they will probably choose to restrict their usage for ‘balance’.
But dual SRAAM pylons exist for the EF anyway so there’s ways around it anyway.
yeah but it can super cruise so you won’t need to afterburn much
That’s true and as a controller player, I’ll enjoy that the most because we can’t use half-burner.
I am looking forward to getting the aircraft (but not grinding it out, that’s going to be hell).
that’s about 9kg/s max reheat, ~2,7kg/s max dry
at full internal fuel of about 5 tonnes you can be cruising around at maximum reheat for 9 minutes and 15 seconds if my calculations aren’t wrong
or over half an hour with max reheat
a 1000L fuel tank gives somewhere around 800kg of extra fuel so around 1,5 min in max reheat and around 5 minutes in max dry power
just do remember that reheat isnt even used irl for takeoff; its that powerful
you made a typo, right?
5000 kg / 5 tonnes, isn’t it?
u dont know about the anti grav fuel tanks?
yeah i meant 5 tonnes
unless…
lmao forgive my ignorance
