Eurofighter Typhoon (UK versions) - Technical data and discussion

Don’t what?

I know wich one u are talking about :D

That certainly appears to be the same Striker HMD as Eurofighter. As compared to a different helmet I’ve seen called Striker, which just had a monocle type display.

I imagine we’ll be getting a production Eurofighter in game using the production Striker 1 helmet.

I believe the main improvements of Striker II are coloured symbology and an integrated night vision camera. I’m not sure if the symbology changed or not. I haven’t looked into the helmets as much as other things.

It is interesting that despite the Striker I losing the two integrated cameras seen on the prototype it seems some clip on night vision cameras were still tested with it. For one reason or another they seem to have been shelved. Maybe they decided to just wait for Striker II.

I don’t know what are you saying.

tested and subsequently abandoned as they added too much weight and quite literally had to be jettisoned during ejection to not mess up the pilot even more.
Striker 2 is lighter than Striker 1 without the external cameras.

Never saw it. This is so modern aircraft, I cannot imagine that such document can be leaked

The F-16C in game has JHMCS, whereas the RMV and A-10C have SCORPION

Lets just say u could at one point download it

I have it from some time ago, nothing that spectacular but regardless, I will not be posting it here

This one right? :P

Yep same would be dumb to do it

Tbh I don’t get why people bother, surely they know it will be taken down immediately upon recognition from a mod and then a ban or timeout will be issued. really isn’t worth it lol

That’s not uncommon with NVGs. The NVGs used on the Tornado used a small explosive charge to blow them off during ejection:

In-game thats debatable imo.

The ability to spam BVRAAM’s is pretty huge, its one of the great annoyances of dealing with the F-15C/E in sim, they just sling missiles at you until you run out and then they have you fully defensive, but in this case the Typhoon should have the performance edge over everything in BVR, so maybe 6 is all they “need”

Tho im pretty sure you were talking irl, in which case yeah, I think a lot of jets “can” carry more than they are ever seen with, such as the recent case of the F-15E carrying the “tac-ferry” loads with additional GPS bombs on the CFT’s, which are not “intended” to be used in combat, but likely “could” if need be.

Or the F-15C with the double AMRAAM racks on the belly and the Amber rails on the wings:

(iirc I read this was an F-15C, tho ive seen ppl claim it to be an E or an EX as well)

I saw photo from another perspective, it is single seat.

you can spam amraams if you have them. most eurofighter operators have a distinct lack of stocks.

the tac ferry loadout is just that. a ferry loadout. cant employ those weapons or you could but cant program the upper ones on the CFTs.
the double rails on that f-15 are also just a mockup

Basic F-15E doesn’t have mil-std bus on outboard cft pylons to communicate with JDAMs.

The HMD itself doesnt matter, the ability to display IFF targets without the use of any other sensors is using a datalink system to do so, in the case of the A-10C, its called SADL, and IS USED on the F-16C. Its been bug reported and accepted:

Itd be rather unfair of the Rafale to get this feature and no other fighters getting it, as its an absolutely massive advantage in sim, and the F-16C should have it for sure, and the Striker II pic posted earlier seems to have it as well.

speaking of which, HMD only got added to a very recent upgrade to the rafale…
