Ohh I am entirely sure that the current version of the game has technical limitations that prohibit “Real” brimstone capabilities.
Let me be clear. I am also NOT saying that every eurofighter in the game SHOULD have 18 full capability Brimstone 2’s because that would break GRB. But 6 should be fine I think.
Yeah but it seems Gaijin has chosen to combine all eurofighters into one, weaponry and equipment wise. It wouldnt surprise me that Italy would also get Brimstone 2 since it technically COULD carry them because, well, the other two EF’s can and do carry them
I submitted a report because the AMRAAM is not functioning. I realize it may be inappropriate to post the URL here, but I apologize as even a small bit of information is needed for the same issue. https://community.gaijin.net/issues/p/warthunder/i/jz5zOE4A7vK2
Interesting, initially it was reported that they were buying the UK national weapons fit, so ASRAAM/Meteor, guessing that was just to get them started while they integrate the new Turkish options.
As you said they’re getting the British weapons before moving over to Turkish weaponry, and given how similar the systems of the KAAN are to that of Eurofighter it’s probably easier for them to learn now on a finished airframe
So I don’t know if any of you have played ground sim much recently.
It’s ironic that the devs think brimstone would be OP as it would allow a single vehicle to wipe out the whole team
Considering that’s exactly what’s been happening since KA50 was added
It was already bad enough. Now we have Mi28s that can take off with a full load at the start of the game; fire all is LMURs, take out the entire team, AA and aircraft, land and do it all over again
But no brimstone on a typhoon that has to get past SPAA first would be far too OP right
Ngl seeing Jas39E pilots absolutely wipe out nearly an entire team in one pass with the 16 Spice-250s made me think that Brimstones mmw honestly wouldn’t be too bad now lmao.
The ARH isn’t anything to write home about i’d think, but the IR missile is interesting, it has TVC reminiscent of IRIS-T and if the weight (140kg) is to be believed it could be quite a long range missile.
The IR missile has been tested from ground launch and is stated to have 15km range, same as ground launch ASRAAM, so their range could be comparable.
