Eurofighter Typhoon (UK versions) - Technical data and discussion (Part 2)

BAE Systems has been pretty involved in Turkish Def’ Sector for awhile now.

So I don’t know if any of you have played ground sim much recently.

It’s ironic that the devs think brimstone would be OP as it would allow a single vehicle to wipe out the whole team

Considering that’s exactly what’s been happening since KA50 was added

It was already bad enough. Now we have Mi28s that can take off with a full load at the start of the game; fire all is LMURs, take out the entire team, AA and aircraft, land and do it all over again

But no brimstone on a typhoon that has to get past SPAA first would be far too OP right

What a joke.

Ngl seeing Jas39E pilots absolutely wipe out nearly an entire team in one pass with the 16 Spice-250s made me think that Brimstones mmw honestly wouldn’t be too bad now lmao.

GRB is an absolute mess…

What domestic missiles does turkey use?

They’re probably talking about these 2
Bozdoğan (air-to-air missile) - Wikipedia
Gökdoğan (air-to-air missile) - Wikipedia

The ARH isn’t anything to write home about i’d think, but the IR missile is interesting, it has TVC reminiscent of IRIS-T and if the weight (140kg) is to be believed it could be quite a long range missile.
The IR missile has been tested from ground launch and is stated to have 15km range, same as ground launch ASRAAM, so their range could be comparable.

Bozdoğan short-range and Gökdoğan medium-range. 25km+ range for the IR short-range missile and 65km+ for the ARH medium-range missile.

Yeah, the missiles that WereCat888 are mentioning.

Are the outboards good for 2000lb??

Please clarify

You have GBU-24 mounted on the outer pylons Those are 2000lb GBUs. I can see the inner 2 but I seriously doubt the outer can carry them.

Inaccuracy on my part

Brimstones are doing next to no damage now even against the chosen tanks without ERA. M1s are shrugging them off even SAMs and IFVS are taking more than one to kill most of the time.

What is going on? Did Gaijin patch something?

they reduced the damage that missiles do this update

both shrapnel and explosive damage

I thought it was reduced the damage of larger ordnance but increased the damage of smaller ordnance

Well I got into the German AESAPhoon and ohh my god this is SUCH a difference.
I can see and track EVERYTHING. I can see their missiles the second they come of the rail. My AIM120C’s actually track and hit at longer ranges now whilst I notch and provide datalink at the same time.

Just such a shame that this was 420K RP and days of frustration and suffering to get, essentially, just a radar upgrade.

Yeah, consequently I have seen flankers take 1, 2 and even 3 AMRAAMS and keep flying. Conveniently my Eurofighter still dies to just one R77-1 or MICA. Curious…

Well not that curious if you consider that Flankers have the same surface area as a small city.

becasue they are more maouverable and in turn have a higher chance of directly hitting you instead of proxy fuzing

Very good point. I hadnt thought of it like that. Well seems like yet another nerf for the AMRAAM.

Definitely warranted too, easily the best missile at top tier. Ohh wait…
