Eurofighter Typhoon (UK versions) - Technical data and discussion (Part 2)

It’s still ±90 with HMD because they copypasted it from the ECRS Mk.1

It’s definitely not a game limitation lol

that means you can do that

Yes, you can freely do HMD. Up to any angle you want.

i mean, limit hmd without f-up entire radar

You can do it no problem. HMD limits and lock from HMD limits are separate values in the files. They do not break the radar in any shape or form.

surely Rang 9 early next year will bring some of them

While the Typhoon can only use its radar’s angles for defense, the Su-30 can attack from those angles, and it has 12 ARH missiles.

Spoiler

The only answer I can think of is targeting via the RWR. But the 120’s trash sticks can’t even turn on 80 degrees, not to mention an over-the-shoulder launch. But the ASRAAM is “imbalanced”, so the snail won’t allow that. Although the seeker for this missile is already in the game. As is the engine. And the airframe.
Damn, I’m so tired of all this…

rusia is just incapable of building such a radar and never will be, lol

its “only” 25-30kg difference

At 9G pull, we are up to 270kgf per missile, so more than 500kg per pylon for 2 missiles. That’s still significant, and I don’t think there’s info on wether the pylons are capable of it AFAIK.

…. According to what

To common sense

Out of all options lol

Un-gimped Brimstones or SAL Brimstone 2 would have been good.

But this is nice actually. Now we finally have a FnF weapon. Could have had SPEAR 3, or HOSBO/HOPE but this is certainly nice to see anyway.

So a 8x Spice and 4-6x Decoy IVs, or brimstones. That opens a lot of posibilities.

That’s how the 420k RP cost will be justified for the thing. Now we get a new radar and SPICE 250 for the price.
