what is an ECRS and what are thw differencws between the mk1 and mk?

ECRS is CAPTOR-E

Mk1 has 180x180 FoV

Mk0 and Mk2 have 200x200 FoV

Mk.0 is the CAPTOR-M backend so can’t do the fancy combined modes. Mk.2 is capable of A2A, A2G and E-War at the same time.

I believe Mk.1 lacks the combined E-War elements that were added to Mk.2. But since Germany intends to put the first batch of ECRS Mk.1 on their new Eurofighter EK’s and then later to the rest of the fleet. I suspect the E-War focus is solved by the fancy Arexis jammers.

Can you guys put in a report stating that the radar should not lose lock of targets when switching modes since there should be simultaneous radar mode capability?

I.e. air targets shouldn’t disappear if changing it to another air mode or if changing it to an air to ground mode

You obviously don’t take into account the size difference between the two. The size of the Mark 1 is even smaller than that of the Rafale, which means that its power will only be much less than mk2

To no surprise, the 8x 120c has literally no effect on combat effectiveness because you can still dodge them ridiculously easily lol

The advantage of a seperate airframe means that ASRAAM/IRIS-T and METEOR can be added later and the Current Typhoons with CAPTOR-M can stay put, avoiding a gap. I dont mind the delay between airframe and weapon systems, but they could do more than just CAPTOR-E this update. Especailly as some items like SAL Brimstone 2s should have come 15 months ago

They should also add the 8 120s to Typhoon now, having to wait 2+ weeks for the main server to be upgraded kinda sucks

I’ve encountered quite the hilarious bug, if you just use a missile with no lock and the selector disabled you get the 9M HMD, but then it launches a 120 allowing you to basically just ACM aim120s with no lock lol

And also why does it take multiple attempts to lock a rear aspect mig in the test drive using HMS IR?
