Surely they will fix it also for the AIM-9L/I and AIM-9L/I-1 (Cope)
You’ll probably need seperate primary sources for those :P
This getting fixed would be a boon to all the current missiles using seeker shut-off as well (including IRIS-T SLM), might make them signifcantly more annoying to fight against
Gonna need those flare buffs it seems
SLM first has to change back that bad 4km seeker change
Here’s some incredible brimstone gameplay!
Ironically they somehow “fixed” the seeker-shutoff which wasn’t working as it should in the beginning but didn’t mention any of that (shut-off for 0,x seconds and ignored the flare afterwards even if it still was in the FoV of the seeker was the usual behavior until “Tusk Force” or “Leviathans” update). But this “fix” they implemented then nerfed the missile as it’s still missing things like “push ahead” and other stuff to not make the seeker-shutoff mechanic such a weak form of IRCCM as you can currently spam flares + maneuver and you’re guranteed that the missile lost you after two seconds as its FoV is really big. It’s only reliable <2 km as the flare leaves the FoV really fast (except for BOL).
Perfect soundtrack. It’s really a circus. (Fun fact, that song was originally composed as gladiator entrance music by Julius Fučík).
Brimstone OP, Needs NERF NOW!
IOG Only with no Drift buffs
:P
Do I see that right, that the tandem warhead is blocked by ERA multiple times? A warhead specifically designed to defeat ERA through its pre-charge?
Correct, because Tandem doesnt work in game as an Tandem against ERA
Found the report

Wonderful, so not only weak because of its small charge (6,2 kg + 0,3 kg), which is more than enough in reality, but also because of a bugged implementation. Even bugs seem to favor certain types of missiles…
SAL Brimstone 2 for the winter update ?
They could make it mmW and it would still be balanced because of the small charge and the bug ^^
But super sekrit soviet documents clearly state that soviet ERA is immune to tandem warheads.
Would mmW just be an onboard TWS gmti with how it is in game?
If it’s like ARH missiles where you can only fire if another sensor detected the target, then yes. Otherwise they could make the Brimstone either LOAL with a really small search sector or you point it at a location and the missile tries to track that point (no matter if a tank or a tree).
If it can only attack detected targets then it will be extremly limited in effectiveness as you can only lock targets which move (and as most SAMs don’t move it will be near impossible to fire at them with Brimstones). Doesn’t matter if they stop after firing as the missile seeker itself could work differently by signal tracking.
Oh god. Im now 100% imagining they will do this, make them useless against SAMs
All for the sake of their definition of “Balance”. (Insert custom “Thanos Balanced” meme here)
