they seem very hard to defeat with CMs and more you need to exhaust the energy of the missile
IRIS-T and BUK, no. Though both require radar to reach out far and the RWR would detect that.
But I was thinking more about defending against MANPAD type threats rather than SAMs
yeah. We should have BOL to defeat IRIS-T, but alas… Not modeled.
In terms of CAS power it cannot dine at the table of the other top tier offerings…Hell the new Su-30 has it beat with it’s Kh-29s…

No I mean those system don’t allow me to fly high or for sure would just LGB them it is usually when you are defending something else or making a run they lock you and you just die.

The missile looks a bit weird because it had a Rotate to View seeker, also a 512x512 Detector
Maybe that’s why they considered it 4th Gen? They just went off Detector Resolution?

I could see such a seeker design creating issues aerodynamicly with its asymmetry, making missile guidance a more complex issue than it has to be.
I can see why they didn’t went with it

It’s done for FGR.4 as that’s what I had the most information on.
But I’ll take any support I can get, should the Germans or Italians do likewise suggestions I’m all here for it.

Did we have gun leading target on EFT HUD? Because last time when I using cockpit view I don’t see any computer guidance on HUD.
