That’s a choice, there is no reason not to do it for EFT. Each scan pattern has a individual scan time already, its just how it works. There is no singular “scan time” figure to change.
If they buff bol i honestly think it would be bad for the game, suddenly unless you have ldircm which only one plane will get, you become invisible to ir missiles as you can preflare forever. Honestly would kill off all non nato planes, and would also kill off even nato planes tha dont have an abundance of cms
During normal scan, ECRS swashplate moves slower than it’s max speed, to allow for scanning. When it comes to quickly changing direction, in the official video it is able to turn 90 degree in a blink you miss it speed.
I haven’t seen this, show???
Append the end of the video link with &t=58
I won’t, as the beginning has some more swashplate movement :)
I didn’t think of it but maybe that’s another reason why they swapped from the 2 axis gimbal - it’s much easier to make 1 motor go very fast.
Can’t you just long press for right click? At least you can on an ipad
Demo video, not a real video, seems like manufacturer propaganda to me /s
Does nothing for me
IIR seekers if properly implemented would basicly invalidate flares in general barring BOL, and BOL would only have a chance of working under certain specific circumstances, so theyd be a lot worse for the game
Ofc it is
The Bol Nerf was pretty justified in my opinion, since It could create a shield of invincibility making you practically invulnerable to any IR missile
Nah I mean if iir seekreheads are gonna stay implemented the way they currently are on Sam’s, bol being buffed would be pretty annoying, as stuff like eurofighter can already preflare forvever and just render the missiles invalid above like 4km. I don’t think gaijin willl actually model focal plane arrays. From what I understand bol should essentially be a shorter burning large flare, and certain models of bol even create a sort of “cloud”
if they even do, see SLM and co currently
- rafale wins . 1. eft will be better in med-long range BVR , some times even in short range. but rafale will still be decent in wt. if they buff aim120’s maneuverability then the eft may completely rule over the rafale.
Exactly
how do u defeat a rafale thats flying at 10m with 8x mica ir that will outrange asraam/irist. also remember mica ir has datalink , i dont know if the asraam has datalink irl.
I think part of the concern in both scenarios and currently is eurofighter is a jet that is very geared towards BVR. We have the second longest range radar in the game (just behind the F-14 lol) and arguably the best MAW with brilliant high-high performance and AMRAAM. The AESA is likely only better than that.
The game, as it stands, forces you into melee combat with the enemy.
IRIS-T/ASRAAM would make for huge changes because it would allow for a short range capacity that is equal to (better, actually) than rafale, and ASRAAM in particular would allow for long range shots (which rafale MAW can’t detect reliably, but the EF’s can). A better radar alone would do very little.
