It’s a typo on the latest revision of the datasheet. Older versions of the datasheet all say 48 kg.
I’d go with 48 kg, as that features on multiple datasheets.

Would make the most sense as 8 could easily be a typo from 48.
Sidenote,
Its only been 2 months. Gotta wait at least the pre-requisite 12-18 months before they look at the bug report. Then wait for the soviets to get PD MAWS which is affected by the issue before its actually resolved
We will near certainty get a MAWS rework when the Su-35 is added. Probably give it some tested super Russian features.
Soviet MAWS has been around for much longer. Even today I suspect it is broadly along these lines:
The sound of bits of the plane dropping off. Possibly more warning lights on the dash (than normal), more leaks from the airframe trailing behind (than normal, anyway) and possibly a bumpy ride as the airframe’s basic aero is altered dramatically.
‘Da - looks like missile was launched at me after all! What air defen… ahem…countermeasures doing?’
Was thinking more IR dazzlers or a mini Kashtan turret ha ha
Don’t give Gaijin ideas man!
All we need now is some muppet wheeling out a dodgy sales brochure (you see, this An-2 could carry S-400!) and they’ll whack it into the game before you can say ‘Not a Bug.’
Brimstones, since the update seem to suffer from the JAGM effect. Missile are not hitting the top of the target but the barrels, armoured front plates and taking more missiles to destroy a target.
Anyone else experiencing this? Have to say it’s more of a Russian problem (3 to kill a T-80)
Thing is it’s not even just PD MAWS, straight up every single MAWS which has sensor fusion will stroke out and dump flares in response to SARH because it fails to recognise it as radar guided for some reason.
Interestingly, it works fine against radar guided SACLOS systems, where it will throw out chaff in response to e.g ito90 (new airbase defenses) pretty reliably.
they could have already added r77s , r27ers to the su25t but they dont lmao. maybe they think about ru bias for ground but thats not the case for air.
Su-25 with R-77 would be on the level of the Harrier and have a hilariously high BR where it would be food.
Plenty of favouritisms towards Russia in the air.
Game reeks of Russian bias right now.
yes just like how they gave them su27sm/33 to combat rafale/euro fighter. surely russian bias.
After making Tornado suffer against Su-27 and MiG 29…
And FGR-2 vs MiG 23 the only nation in game with an all aspect missile (Russia)
Please bud, Russia has always had some kind of edge.
Be it new technology, weapons they are usually one of the first.
How about years nato teams were fighting r27er with a sparrow? Barely working sparrow at that.
How about when r-73 was introduced?
it was much more easy to multi path back then and no was one climbing. but sure it was dumb to add r27er along with sparrows.
didnt they add aim9m along with r73 ? i dont remember how it was or are u talking abt the dev server ?
Surely bro
what edge do they have over rafale/eurofighter right now ? gaijin mostly adds newer tech to us/rus first because they are the most popular TTs. (adding new things to a popular TT = more $$$ )
they literally used the T-10 (first prototype of su27) to model the su27 and it took them a lot of time to change it and the su27 is still bad. mig29’s FM is even worse.
