Yeah, its very possible. Though why the ACM mode on the Typhoon isnt auto swapping out of PD like it should to acquire the target may in itself require a report.
At least im fairly certain that is a feature that is still in-game. Still miffed it was remove from the F3
The steam screenshot from that report is just hilarious.
The red circle is roughly where the F-18 is in that image (the fireball just behind my tail)
The radar is looking in the correct bit of space.
The Radar screen and the game overlay shows the contact flying in the opposite direction , outside the scan area and no where near where it should be. Its one thing in ARB where I can use my Mk1 eyeball to see the radar has screwed up, but if I had been in SB? or the target was obscured by clouds? Id have wasted a missile.
This is the main reason why Im not playing SB in the EFT. I cannot trust the radar even when it does find the target
To be fair, it’s not all that bad. But as an SB player, I really miss the radar elevation profile MFD’s and EEGS. Overall, IRST and 9M allow you to feel comfortable at ground level, and 120C-5, although barely, still outperforms 120B at longer distances (I think I had a Su-30SM kill from 35 or about 40 km at 5- or 6000 m in one of the last sessions… )
I would say yes as 120C has increased battery capacity for longer guidance duration, but rMax is rMax haha you can’t have a NEZ greater than rMax or rMax isn’t rMax anymore haha. (I said rMax way to many times here… rMaxrMaxrMaxrMaxrMaxrMax).
